As it happens I do know a few tools, but only the human kind unfortunately. I wander in here maybe once a year, if I need something hardware-y like compressed air or a long weight (that's a hardware joke people!) The staff are helpful and friendly. My last visit was a quest for Tarzan's Grip to fix a wayward heel, and suddenly realised I didn't even know if that was the best product. So I asked the nice man which glue he thought would be best for shoes and he said," I was just talking about that with my mate", grabbed a tube of something and guess what? It worked.

Not only did someone stop to help me just moments after I walked in the door, but they were able to give me multiple ways in which to fix and finally finish my pesky project (all of which have worked). The people there were knowledgeable and extremely nice- a wonderful difference from the Bunnings at Rose Bay!

At a place like this, I'm sure that the service is only a result of who has the opportunity to…read moreserve you. My first experience there was a tad confusing - I only wanted some small handheld lights for a light box, and was under the impression that I'd need to build it myself. After explaining my predicament to one of the staff member, an older man, who looked like the best person to ask about electrical lighting, I was told to buy some parts here, and or go to a lighting shop for a pre-made alternative. After some further poking around the store, I found exactly what I needed, with no guidance from any further staff members. At checkout the staff we're less than impressed, and didn't engage with their customers further than just taking their money. It's only a hardware store, but some level of good customer service should still be expected.
