First of all I was charged $800 for a deposit on a $60 rental after repeating several times it was a one way. I get to Denton and am told the Abiliene Budget would charge me 1k to pick it up from Denton because they show its round trip. We asked to see the video to prove this and were threatened with the police. I am an elderly disabled woman. So all that said I was out 800.00 deposit + rental + 1k if I didnt turn around and take it back to Abiliene. I feel this location is a borderline scam. Go with another rental company and just save yourself the hassle and lies. Just spoke with a supervisor at corporate who assured me it has been taken care of and the Budget rental in Abiliene is now under investigation. read more

We had an online reservation to move our son from Abilene to Ft. Worth on June 15, 2024. I made the reservation on Wednesday, June 12, my husband got the confirmation email and thought everything was good. We arrived to pick up the truck on time and the staff member couldn't find the reservation. Although we said we had the reservation information, he never asked for it. He thought we were there to rent a car. After realizing we wanted a truck, we were informed that he didn't have the truck we reserved online, and there was nothing that told me they wouldn't have one online. We ended up with a van. With all the confusion, and upset, we will not be using the budget rental on Judge Ely in Abilene again. read more

Worst management in history, ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL. They let any one work the front desk, they openly cuss and fight in front of customers, the whole place stinks and is never clean. No one ever wears a mask. DISGUSTING PLACE WILL NOT EVER BE GOING BACK. read more

Absolutely horrible service. We made a reservation to rent a truck, showed up at 10am and they're internet was out so they couldn't rent to us, but said they would call us when it's back up. We checked every other place in town and there wasn't the truck we needed, or we would've gone with somewhere else. We called back around 11:30 to check in and the internet was back on but they hadn't called us. We got there and it took 50 minutes to get the truck rented because their printer wasn't working. They called customer service for it and talked crap about the guy the whole time, cursing in front of us and disregarding any customer service. I should have read these reviews prior to traveling. Like the others mentioned it is not at the airport as advertised and not conveniently located. We were picked up from the airport by a young man who acted like it was an inconvenience. The car was dirty and not full size as I requested. There were only compact cars on the lot. When I asked about the only clean car on the lot, I was told it would be $20 more a day. When I asked to speak to the manager, the young lady tells me the business is privately owned and the owner is not available. Lesson learned, do not use Expedia and do not rent from Budget! read more

Do NOT rent from here!!! First of all do not rent from here. It is NOT at the airport. The address is wrong and even though it is listed at the airport, it is 3 miles away. We reserved a full size car and got a Toyota Camry that was disgusting. There were stains ALL over the seats, I felt dirty just sitting in it. So they called the day of to confirm our reservation and get flight information, which is when we were informed that they are not at the airport, but that somebody would meet our flight with a name board to give us the car. Sounds fine, right? We assumed they would be there, give us the car and we'd go on our way. Well turns out, they pick you up at the airport, then drive you to their location to do the paperwork. The lady that picked us up was rude and didn't offer to turn the air on or anything. We asked for a discount for our trouble, and their false advertising, which they refused. From my initial phone call into budget for pricing, I had an amazing experience. A young smiling Regan was waiting at the airport holding a sign for me when I walk down the stairs at the airport. She drove me to the budget rental which is just a few miles from the airport very easy to get there. It only took her a few minutes to get my contract and do awalk around with the car. I rented a Kia Rios it was a perfect car for my four-day trip in West Texas. It was clean, modern, I had navigation and worked with my iPhone. I had to make an unexpected drive from Sweetwater to Lubbuck. I called into the office and spoke to Reagan about checking about the miles. Reagan was so sincerely upbeat and cheerful and gave great customer service to me explained the free miles. It is was wonderful that the miles are all free. Dropping off the car was on a Sunday it was a pretty smooth experience. Car return is there at the airport so you don't have to go to the budget that is only 2 miles away. Being on a Sunday the office opens I think at 10 so I dropped my car off and follow the instructions listed on the contract. Once again, I did call Reagan at Budget on Sunday and she was there at work again and answering my question. Since I will be returning to Abilene more often now I will definitely be a return customer and hope to always see Reagan smiling face at the beginning of my trip! read more

They have a guy at the counter that has the personality of a brick wall. He is rude and really doesn't know what he is doing. I was told a price and it was higher when I got there. He said well that is the price. Then manager came in and he fixed the price cause he knew what to do and said it was right now. The car was supposed to be full and was 1/4 of a tank. I called no one answered so took the car back and he said I won't charge you for the gas. ??? read more
