The 1-800 number is answered in Mexico City, Budget is a poster child for how to not give good customer service. The older guy should not work with people he hates people. It's clear the corporate office isn't supportive at all, I will never use budget truck again. The only good thing I did experience was Starr the girl who helped me, very helpful and friendly. BE SURE TO LOG EVERY DENT AND SCRATCH AND TAKE PHOTOS BEFORE DRIVING OFF LOT. Also get proof of closed contract or they will add charges later. I gave a one star review because there's not an option for zero stars. This place is the worst rental agency I've ever experienced. Not only did they give away my reserved moving truck on the day of my move but the minimal compensation I was provided, took nearly an hour and a half, and I had to fight with them in order to get it. read more

The worst customer service ever ! I had to drop my truck off a day early . The location I supposed to drop it off at was closed .So I tried to get a new location through customer service. They hung up on me twice . So we found the airport location in Fresno who took the truck (Kevin who were wonderful and great customer service). I called my original drop location (ventura street Fresno) and they were rude and charging me a fee 30.00 to get the truck. On top of that they won't take off the insurance for they days that I'm not even driving the truck. I called customer service this morning and talked to a superisor and they said sorry but it was a package deal. Mean while Im paying until Tuesday and they can still rent the on truck on the days I paid for . Also , the previous week I ordered a truck on line and they did not have one. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN !!!!! CAR OR TRUCK. THEY ARE HORRIBLE ! OH IF YOU WANT FILE A COMPLAINT , YOU HAVE TO WRITE A LETTER , REALLY THIS IS 2017 UHAUL IS THE WAY TO GO . I will never use them again. First they said they were charging me an extra day. My itinerary said I had until 6pm to turn it in but when I got there it was already closed. So I brought it the next day and they said "we closed early so you needed to bring it in early" No one told me that nor was my itinerary changed for the correct time and they still charged me when THEY WERE in the wrong. We reserved a 24' truck online two weeks ago. We got here five minutes after they opened and there were already two people here. The first customer's reservation could not be found so they started over and let him rent a 24' truck, incidentally the only 24' truck they have here which we had reserved. Since our truck is gone we have to change our reservation to a 16' truck. Now we have a 16' truck, a full house to fill a 24' truck, and house full of people waiting for us to get there with the truck. Oh and I am HUNGRY! read more

I don't understand how they are still in business! My husband and I went there this morning to rent a truck - before my husband barely got out of the car - he was rudely told that there were no trucks available for today. Two trucks were parked on the lot and understanding that sometimes they are reserved in advance we asked if that was the case the person ( I can't refer to them as gentlemen because they are so rude) said no just not renting them. They are still sitting there and if you go on the website you can make a reservation for today at 12:00 PM. When I called and asked them about that I was told "I don't know why you can reserve - we don't have any trucks. They were a last resort before now I won't even consider them. Horrible!!! awful business people. I reserved a truck online - 12 feet long. I was supposed to pick up at 9 am. I arrived and I was told that I could only rent the truck for 2 1/2 hours or be charges for 2 days and that I was required to take their insurance on top of that. I will never return there again. I went to U haul and got excellent service but because I did not have a reservation, I had to go to the next town where there was a truck available. read more

These people think that they can deviate from what is listed online to suit their needs. We came in with cash to put as the deposit because we read that sometimes they took up to ten days to return the deposit to the account. So we brought cash and he said we can't pay the deposit in cash. Then he said we would have to return it by 3pm on Saturday not 5pm because they close early on Saturday. Online it stated that we can pay the deposit in cash and the hours were different than what he claimed they were. He was rude and pushy about buying insurance, and just overall poor customer service. read more

Budget found an error when they compared the last customer check-in mileage to my check-out mileage and determined that I was overcharged. They credited my account but I would still be very reluctant to go through them again. read more

Made my friend go with the Budget rep to gas station to confirm truck topped off on fuel (she refilled it prior to drop off). I waited in the sweltering heated, but otherwise he would have charged $30! Trying to rip off their customers... read more
