The different frostings have good flavor. The cupcakes (at least ours) were a little dry. The cashier was polite and was helpful. It was a fun stop for our group to grab a drink and a sugary snack. I doubt they make their money off repeat business.

Though one complaint, one major complaint I have with this place, is how overly sweet it all is. But with a cup of coffee it evens out. Xocolata Taronja (AKA- Orange chocolate mousse cake) - very flavorful without the chocolate overpowering it all. It's a good balance between the two strong flavors. The mousse layers as well, compliments the (chocolate) sàble base. La Cirera- (AKA- The Apple shaped cherry mousse cake) is incredibly adorable. The outside, though shaped and looks of a red apple, the inside is anything but. Cherry mousse with a thin but incredibly rich Nutella layer all resting atop a sandy shortbread base. It's mostly just beautiful.. the taste, though.. soothing, it's overwhelmingly sweet. Somethings are meant to be photographed and not enjoyed. Cherry flavors seem lost if one didn't know what flavor it was as they bite into it. Tartin - flavorful, sweet with a buttery crumbly base. At first bite everything's wonderful but at second, third chew, it starts to get too sweet. But still good. It's not as pretty as the rest but flavor wise, it works the best. Their pastry sections are more of their strong suit when it comes to taste. Croissants are flaky and buttery, not to mention a great deal for one. €1.10 for a plain croissant. It's also beautifully made. Overall, don't do what I did when I came here and try to eat all three super super sweet mousse tartlets in one sitting, instead maybe take them home or hotel and enjoy with some sugar-free coffee. This patisserie has their presentation down. But it's for the sweet tooth not for the faint-tongued. Service are generally well. All the employees there seem to speak English so if you're not from Spain or can't speak the language, no worries.

I wished we had more time though. To our surprise, there was a cute little dining area in the back of the shop with couples and friends sitting at tables of two, eating desserts and sipping champagne. What a way to live your life! We went in to buy two individual dark chocolate cakes and that's what we got. When I look back at the photos we took and the selection of desserts, I truly regret not ordering more, and not getting something other than just dark chocolate. They had the most creative, colourful and beautiful desserts I've ever laid eyes on. Pure eye candy. We purchased two individual chocolate cakes. One was dark chocolate with a dark chocolate filling and the other was dark chocolate and walnut with a chocolate mouse filling. Both were f**king unbelievable! You know a place is good when they refuse to sell you their products if you aren't going to eat them in the next 10 minutes, or be able to put them into a fridge within that same time frame. I couldn't believe how serious they were about preserving the integrity and quality of their food - I was impressed by this and even more so by the desserts themselves. We will definitely be back for desserts and champagne the next time we're in Barcelona. Highly recommended. Five stars.

I was so glad we didn't include breakfast in our hotel package...not only were we able to save a few euros, we were also able to experience eating breakfast with some locals. Service was friendly. We didn't feel rushed even though we took a while deciding what to order. This place was such a wonderful find!

I came for breakfast with my fiance on the way to the beach. It's right on a large pedestrian street. If you ask for a menu they have a woman come over and point the options and prices to you. I ordered a coffee with milk and a croissant which costed about 2 euros which was a fantastic price! My husband ordered a salami sandwich and coffee with milk. Not sure what that costed but it was all under 10 euros. The coffee tasted slightly bitter as if the machine wasn't cleaned well or if there was a bit of burnt beans happening but it was fine. The croissant was so flaky and crispy with a soft center. I liked it but I would've liked having a bit of jam or honey to go with it. The salami sandwich was liked by my husband but it was odd that they wouldn't let him order two other sandwich options that were displayed right next to the four options they vocalized to him. When he asked for it they said it's not available at the moment...even though they were made and literally right next to the sandwich from the case that they removed and gave to him. Great price and location so I potentially would stop by again if I lived here.

Small deli with awesome affordable bakery items…read more We had breakfast here while staying at a hotel close by and everyone in our group loved the food. Great sandwiches, yummy pizza bread & croissants.The coffee was pretty good as well. Espresso was only 1€. The place is certainly a local favorite - we were the only tourists there and lucky to snatch the last table. The staff speaks English though - so it is always a good idea to stop by and grab a bite to eat. ;)
