The buns…read moreare a sort of pretzel bread rohlik, which they slap on the flat top to warm and get a bit of crisp, and the toppings are astounding - it's a whole meal's worth of stuff on a bun with meat (and yes, some of it is going to fall off onto the ground.) They clearly care about their product, and are taking great pains to get out quality food and service - and this comes though in their product. Plus their beer is a one-off, hard-to-find brand that is absolutely delicious. The only thing they could do better, frankly, is the frank - the sausages are homemade, but a little lackluster - more brat than meat, if you know what I mean. The whole package is great, but the meat is simply one component, and not the best one. Their success has been astounding, and they have expanded quickly to several spots around town. This one, in Letna Park, is perfect for getting some serious soakage before hitting the beer garden, and is super tasty to boot.

After my long journey to Prague, prior to getting to my hostel, I was hungry, cold, and in need of…read moresome food. I had bookmarked George Prime Burger and saw that they were open until 11pm. I got there at around 10:10pm and asked if they were still serving food. The server looked annoyed and told me I'd have to get my order in ASAP because they were doing last call soon. As a server myself back in Hawaii, I know how annoying it is for someone to come in right before last call and have them loafing around, so I instead just got an order of their Truffle Fries (85czk) to go, to save them the headache. The food came out in about 6 minutes and she processed my card and I was on my way. She even wrote "Stay Warm" on my to-go container (because it was like 30 degrees outside haha) which I thought was a cute gesture. The fries were good but not the best I've had, and the portion was relatively small for the price. The cheese was distributed unevenly - most of my pieces didn't have any truffle or cheese, and other times I felt like I just got a mouthful of cheese and truffle. I wished the timing was better so I could have tried their burgers too, because I passed by the next day (at a reasonable dinner time) to see it fairly crowded, and the food on everyone's tables looked delicious!

I always get the same yummy Black Truffle burger, so today I opted for the GPB Cheese Burger. Sounds simple enough right? But with Smoked Cheddar and Crème Fraiche with Roasted Garlic and Dijon Mustard, I got a nice flavor infusion added to what could have been a normal cheese burger! The thing with George's burgers is they each (well most of them) seem to have a unique aioli-type sauce to them that really add some zest to the burgers. Again, the bun was nicely plump, and still soft and fresh as ever (no squished buns here). This is the first time I went upstairs. I knew they had bathrooms upstairs, but didn't realize there is a whole, spacious second floor to the restaurant! As always, I enjoyed my meal and will def be back to visit.

Inside this store they have second hand clothes, shoes, jackets, sport equipment, jewelry, books, cds, dvds, kitchen things, and little knic knacs. The prices are always very cheap (compared to other second hand stores) and all their proceeds go to charity which I think is awesome. They also from time to time have special sale events, 20 crown or 50 crown days, as well as end of the season 20/10 crown bins and I have found some great stuff during these times. Out of their multiple locations this is one of my favorites because the ladies that run it are so nice and helpful. Very unusual for czech retail stores. I will be back for more!

This little place tucked in a small street makes the best pancakes…read more Service was impeccable. We wanted to grab breakfast before we were headed to the airport but didn't feel like eating too much. First, they have a high chair, a huge plus for us parents. I got the mascara-done caramel banana pancake, which the server told us was a popular item. My husband got the salmon with cream cheese, and he said that was amazing. So unlike other places that usually stack pancakes and then put the topping at the top, this each layer has the filling, so each layer of the salmon pancake has cream cheese and salmon. The mascarpone and banana was the same each layer, filled with banana and cream. Highly recommend this little gem if you are around the area.
