My family and I stopped here for some breakfast before heading back home to California. Found this place from Yelp and decided to try it since the reviews were so good. This place is absolutely delicious! Food, service and ambiance was on point. This is a cute small diner filled with big flavor. My dad got the Huevos Rancheros, large portion! Mom got the pancake special, pancakes are massive and so fluffy and flavorful. Hubby got the Hunter eggs, he got the half order with the massive biscuit. He added their homemade blackberry jam and made this soft biscuit even more insane. I had a BLT and fries, good portion and very flavorful! Seriously the best hidden secret in Idaho. We had the Buffalo chips, New Mexican eggs and pancakes. Everything was delicious and exceeded our expectations. I have to call out the New Mexican eggs, for anyone that loves Mexican food (Chile verde) GET THIS DISH. It was amazing!!! Also, if they offer you jam - SAY YES!!! My wife and I, and our two youngest children tried Buffalo Cafe for a late breakfast for the first time today. The restaurant was quite busy, and yet we were seated within a very short time. We found this place purely by accident: Some friends of ours had just relocated to T Falls and none of us had any idea where anything was or where the good local spots were. A quick Google search brought this place up, so we ventured out to see what it was all about. So glad we did! Based on other reviews, I decided to have breakfast at Buffalo Cafe this morning. I get what the hype is about. I ordered the French toast with an egg and bacon side. My choice of bread was sourdough and it was delicious. I sat at the bar and was able to observe the waitresses doing their thing. Very attentive service and an overall enjoyable experience. I have always been a fan of Buffalo Cafe. However the last couple times I have been there, the service has fallen short. Today, I called an order in to pickup. 1/2 order Buffalo chips, an order of Biscuits and sausage gravy and a jar of Strawberry jam. I had special requests on both orders which were met. When I arrived it wasn't that busy. There were 4 other parties (around 11:00 am) in the restaurant. The food was cooked as it should be and tasted great. The problem lies in the attention to detail. I was only given a half order of biscuits and gravy, but charged for a full. I was missing a side out of the Buffalo chips as well. It's disappointing to get home and see that your order has been messed up. The jam tasted fantastic, and they have always had epic tasting jam. I can't recommend that you go there, just because of the inconsistency. However when the right cook and the right waitress are working, it's a fantastic place to eat. Will I go back? Probably tomorrow to get a jar of the apricot pineapple jam Lol. I got strawberry today. The jam is pretty fantastic. So I will absolutely recommend the jam. Passing through Idaho on the way to Yellowstone we found this gem of a cafe. The waitstaff were unbelievably nice and attentive and the food was off the charts. Best biscuits and best chicken fried steak we've ever had. Even though we're doing a loop road trip (ie not passing back this way) my kids are begging to go back. We usually say it doesn't matter where we stop for breakfast because it's all the same however, my whole family has agreed that in the future we tag on a line "except for the Buffalo Cafe!" read more

While on a road trip we found Buffalo Cafe on the Yelp app. Based on the positive reviews and the proximity we decided to try it out. This establishment is your typical hole in the wall diner. They were busy for a Thursday morning but we didn't wait long for a table nor to get our food. The staff was very friendly and they were on it. After spending a week dry camping/hunting in Idaho we stopped in here on the way back to Washington State. Hubs and I both got the "everything omelet" with biscuit and toast..... These were the biggest omelets, chalked full of yummy meats and veggies. The fried potatoes were fresh and homemade as well as the toast and biscuit. I have been craving a Diners, Drive-in and Dives type restaurant for quite some time. This cafe far exceeded my expectations! I ordered the buffalo chips breakfast with a biscuit and side of sausage gravy. My daughter ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito. Both of us agreed that it was the best breakfast we've ever had.
