After having a nice breakfast sandwich, made to order and enjoying visiting with the locals, I left without my purse. I was almost to the border when I realized it. I called and they went to the trouble to go into town and mail it to my US address. Electronic keys are expensive to replace! They saved me so much! Go in to enjoy the homey atmosphere. This is not a 5 star hotel but it is the best thing around for miles. Bed is comfy, WIFI is great, and their restaurant is open 24/7. Water temperature changes in the shower a lot; There is tons of hot water. You're provided soap but no shampoo or conditioner. The floors are cleaner than the Hilton in Niagara Falls and they have a deep plastic mats located near entrances and in all the rooms to keep everyone from making a mess. This is a haven for truckers. Most leave their boots by the door and walk around the lodge in their socks. Our breakfast was good. My ham was delicious. Prices are very reasonable. The next town is 3 hours away but there's a gas station across from the lodge, so fill up before you head out. read more
