Me again. After the nightmarish time I had last week with Buffalo Transportation, another company transferred a late-night ride for me to them. It started ok -- the driver was friendly and even told me he wanted to become a truck driver. He certainly has the mouth for it. By the end of the ride the radio was blasting so loudly that I couldn't hear him. He kept shouting over the radio instead of turning it down. It should be noted this is the third migraine this company has given me! Unreal. He started screaming at me that I was "a stupid fucking bitch" and that I should "go fuck (myself). It scared me and my neighbors. He had the audacity to do this on the lawn of my own home. This company has a special way of hiring the most charming mother fuckers. read more

Awful service. Van broke down bringing my family member from the hospital to rehab. They attempted to wheel him in a snow storm with a hospital gown on two miles down broadway in Lancaster. When they realized that was alto far they took him back to the broken van and waited for a new one while my dad sat outside. He arrived frozen and wet and all out of sorts. He had a brain injury no one should receive such awful treatment. I know people are underpaid and understaffed but this is not acceptable. Travel with or follow your loved ones if you can read more

Bros. of Mercy scheduled my mother for an appointment; the van never showed up for transport!! Needless to say they asked for payment upfront and never provided service! The excuse? "We didn't have enough drivers and vans are in service" but... they never cancelled, called or said anything until after we called to complain!! DO NOT TRUST THEM!!! read more

We used Buffalo Transportation for two round trips from home to the hospital in August 2022, total cost $86.00, paid by me. We live 15 minutes away from the hospital, so a 15-minute ride cost $21.50. The cabs were on time & fairly clean, but we could not bring my husband's wheelchair in the cab. There is a reservation form on their website, buffalotransportation.com/medical-transportation-reservation, which makes little sense. For example, it asked for my date of birth, for no good reason that I can think of! Anyway, trips must be paid for in advance by credit or debit card, & the drivers do not accept tips. If we need to use Buffalo Transportation again, I suppose we will because I do not know of an alternative, & I will make all arrangements over the phone. read more

Awful! The rehab center that scheduled these clowns, asked for a wheelchair service w/two man assist because my 83 year old dad is in a wheelchair and was still recovering and can't walk and we need to get him up 4 stairs. She confirmed the appointment and when the van arrived it was with this 4' 11" boy. he loaded my dad in the van and when I said "where is the other guy?" he said that he wasn't instructed that it was a two man job. I asked him to call dispatch, he gets in the van and leaves with my dad. I tried to follow behind him but this boy was driving like a bat out of hell and I couldn't keep up with his 80MPH down the 33! So obviously, the boy and my dad arrived home first and by the time I got there he had my father at the door. I asked again where is the second person and he told me usually its the nurse aid of the patient who assists. HUH? My father was so desperate and while he was in no shape to do it. He had to climb the stairs on his own. He was in excruciating pain and very weak and the young man did his best to assist but that was not what any of us signed up for and I paid for a two man assist up front. So....with that bad taste in my mouth I blamed the rehab center, figuring that the social worker was the one who made the wrong appointment and I did not blame the van service. So I called them to schedule a two man pick up for my dad to make it to his doctor's appointment. They asked all the right questions. How many stairs? what time does he have to be there? While the gentlemen did not have a high level a people skills. I thought we understood each other. He charged my close to $200 for a pick up and return less that 3 miles away. I paid for it and hoped for the best. Well, that was silly. They were significantly 35minutes late and sent one person and when I asked where the assist person was, be didn't know what I was talking about and wanted to carry my 230lb father in his wheelchair backwards down the stairs with me holding his feet. We refused that idea, my father gave him a tip for trying (which the guy took even though he literately did nothing) we missed the appointment and will never ever ever ever ever use these crooks again. read more

Buffalo transportation was good the first week I had them as my driver. Now they're constantly late they don't call and I get meals at program nowadays I'll be lucky if I get a crumb off the floor when I get there late. I have a pickup time at home in the morning for program also have a pick up a time after I finish program and after I finish program I always have to call and there's never a car waiting for me when I finish program this is a constant bother for me and when I call back constantly they get annoyed I'm trying to be a bigger person and try to handle this my way instead of getting all ghetto on them at one time I cursed and acted unprofessionally but when you acted when they act on professionally it pisses me off I wish they'd drop off the face of the Earth. Had an appointment at 1:30 PM at ECMC - my home is in S. Buffalo and the ride directly to the hospital is typically 17-22 minutes. I scheduled through MedAnswering.com weeks in advance expecting pickup by 12:45. I mostly use Liberty Taxi for my medical appointments, but Buffalo Trans (BT) has a ECMC contract, so I'm forced to use them. Liberty sends auto-messaging confirmation and also calls my phone - with BT apparently there's none of that 'cause at 12:35 there's been no attempts to contact me. So, when I called to check when the ride's coming, they have this excuse, "You should have scheduled pickup for 12:30, that way if we were running behind there be extra time for a driver to get there by 1:30." [SILENCE OF DISBELIEF ON MY END OF THE PHONE] Does that make sense to anyone else out there? I expected the pickup BY, NOT AT 12:45. I finally get an automated call from them at 1:12 saying "the driver will be there' at 1:27." Well, y'all know I had to reschedule the appointment. Buffalo Transportation has pulled shit such as this before. I guess it's time to start taking three busses again to get to my appointments at ECMC - at least that way I get there on time. read more

Buffalo transportation is the worst company for rides to medical appointments! Their drivers are rude! You have to listen to their music. I had a 8:15 a.m. pick up this morning. I called several times to find out where it was. I was told that they had 20 minutes after that time to pick me up. What? My appointment was for 9 a.m. it was only 8 minutes away. At 5 to 9, I was told it's on the way! At 5 minutes after 9, I called to cancel it. At 9:10, I received a call that the driver was there! 10 minutes after my appointment time!!! I was on the phone trying to cancel my appoint and book a new one!!! If you want to get to your appointment on time, DON'T use Buffalo Transportation!!! read more

I'm not sure who made the decision to call Buffalo transportation when I was in the hospital at ECMC to be transferred to the Elderwood rehab, when they put me in their van I immediately noticed that the van was extremely dirty this van looked like it was used for construction, I had to hold onto the window because I was not strapped properly ,also when I was transferred from my bed to their bed one of the workers pushed me in my side where my side was fractured. They were not properly dressed. I just hope this company cleans up their act. I definitely will not recommend this company nor will I use them again. Very unprofessional, and dirty. I was supposed to be picked up from a nursing home/rehab center I'm at to be taken to an X-ray appointment. They just never showed up & I had to reschedule my appointment which means it's just going to be even longer until I can go home. I am extremely pissed. read more

Absolutely horrific company. Many of my patients use them and they are never on time. When dealing with critically ill people you'd think they could manage to be on time. Nope. My family has been using Buffalo Transportation for all of my father's medical appointments for years. They are reliable and it's very easy to schedule pick up and drop off times. The drivers have always been kind and help him in and out of the van. I highly recommend this company for any medical transportation needs! read more

Way over priced. Fixed rate, over and out of site for 2 round trips of about 16 miles total. $260. 1st trip was good. Sweet caring lady driver on time both ways. 2nd trip drop off at docs office almost did not take us for being 1 hour late. Docs office decided to let us wait until we were the last patient. (who does that to an 87 yr old?) I made driver wait until sure Doc would take us. I immediately called for a pickup figuring it would take an hour or more. It was near 90 degrees and humid. Now we were waiting outside the closed office. The poor driver said the airconditioning wasn't working. REALLY?? What a greedy crappy company. Shop around for pricing way before the trip. read more

I had an 9:30 appointment at Roswell park and yet again LATE AGAIN!!!! They are never on time... so sick of waiting for a cab to show up

Spare yourself and your loved ones the agony and do not call Buffalo Transportation. A one star rating doesn't do justice to how bad this company is. My mother needed a van with two assists (drivers) to carry her up and down the stairs of her apartment. She's 110 years old and oxygen dependent. Medicaid had approved the transport and notated the requirements on her medical records. Yet Buffalo Transportation sent vans with a single driver multiple times forcing us to wait until another assist arrived and causing us to be late for doctors appointments. The Medicaid office even called the company twice to inform them that the requirements for her pick up had been inserted into the system but they persisted in only sending one driver. On one medical visit the driver was taking non-transportation calls on his cell phone while driving and I had to lecture him that it was illegal in addition to being unsafe. On the last visit we will ever use this service they were 35 minutes late for pick up and they only sent one driver again even after we called Medicaid in the morning to confirm and Medicaid called the Buffalo Transportation office. We were forced to ask workers next door to assist us in getting my mother down the steps. On the return trip we waited two hours and fifteen minutes for the van to arrive at the medical office for pick up. The capacity on the oxygen canister almost expired and the dispatch continued to lie and tell us the drivers were 15 minutes away every time we called to find out what was happening. At that point we had to make a decision to either call 911 or wait, hoping they would get there in time. We decided to wait. When they finally arrived they again arrived with only one driver and there was almost zero oxygen capacity left on her tank. When I complained to the driver who arrived, he got dispatch on the phone and the dispatcher tried to argue with me that they were correct in only sending one driver and told me I had to assist the driver in carrying her up the stairs. I replied, this is a critical life emergency at this point because of your tardiness and even if you are correct, which you are not, it doesn't explain why you are two hours and fifteen minutes late and told him to send another driver to meet us at the destination. I then told the driver to turn off the radio and drive. The driver to his credit drove us as quickly as possible to our location and again we had to enlist the support of workers next-door to get her up the stairs because, you guessed correctly, Buffalo Transportation did not send another needed driver to assist us at our drop off location.
