We both thought it was some of the best we had ever had. My burrito was the Steve burrito, which was vegetarian. It was very good and very large! I took more than half home in a box. I ordered another! Pause- the floor under the table was sooo sticky! Gross! The food came and it was giving everything that it was supposed to give. I requested the addition of Oaxaca cheese, lettuce and sour cream to my asada taco (don't come for me), but I only received the cheese. It was fine. There was plenty of both served alongside my enchiladas. The waitress jokingly corrected my pronunciation of the word "oaxaca". Maybe that's what was taking so long. After a recent Yelp event served up a taco bar created by Bugambilia's Mexican Cuisine, I promised myself that I would return to this Castleton restaurant in the near future so that I could write a proper review. Wowsers. A weaving together of Mexican and Poblano cuisine, Bugambilia's exists in this fairly non-descript strip center on the backside of Castleton Square a few storefronts down from where Outback Steakhouse used to be. Once inside? Bugambilia's is anything but nondescript. The interior decor is festive without being gaudy. It's somehow warm and welcoming amidst the decorative madness. The server, whose name I spaced, was a delight from beginning to end. The menu is diverse with most of the familiars and quite possibly a few items that will be new to you. There's a kids' menu that includes a couple traditional American items - a cheeseburger and chicken nuggets - because kids will be kids. I ordered a quesadilla poblana. It was, quite honestly, a bit outside the box as someone who eats rather generically thanks to a somewhat fragile digestive system. However, this was an absolute delight and I'm practically licking my lips even right now as I write this review. The atmosphere is largely accessible and the tables are easily made accessible. There are curb cuts along the building, though it is an older strip center and I won't say the ramps are stellar. They're not, but they work and I had no issue with them. While it's possible to eat affordably here, the general price range is going to be in the mid-teens to low $20 range. Chips and Salsa? Impeccable. Main meal? Delightful. Drink. Refilled without asking. Bugambilia's also has a variety of options outside of dining in including a food truck, carry out, online ordering, delivery, and they also offer a loyalty club. I will admit that on occasion I'm a bit disappointed when I revisit a business from a Yelp event. This is definitely not the case here. This was a great experience from beginning to end. After seeing all the good ratings, we had to give this place a try while doing some shopping on the north side. I have to say - it was really good! I don't know what they do to their refried beans (because at most places they just taste kind of bland), but they have this flavor that is so tasty. Your meal starts with hot, fresh chips and flavorful salsa. Want a margarita? Theirs are exceptional. I got steak fajitas and they were fantastic. Our server was awesome and he brought both salsa diabla and verde. I love spice, but the diabla was a shade too hot for my taste, so I throttled back to verde. This is for the Bugambilias food truck. The truck was parked in the Deviant Brewing lot on the corner of Michigan Road and 96th street. I was looking for a light snack and there was the brightly colored Bugambilias Food truck. I had never heard of Bugambilias before. The clerks in the truck were super friendly. The truck menu is limited to tacos, tortas and quesadillas. I ordered the Quesadilla Poblano, which was made with lime-marinated pork and lots of cheese. My meal took about 12 minutes to make because they do make them fresh. The quesadilla was excellent. The pork was flavorful and moist. The salsa also tasted fresh with great spice. I haven't eaten at a food truck in a while. I did think that the quesadilla was a bit overpriced, my bill came to $16 before tip. read more

We came in based on the yelp reviews. This restaurant is tucked into a small strip mall and located right beside the outback steakhouse. We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in the door and quickly seated. Our server told us there were drink specials on the margaritas, so that is what we had. My husband had a house margarita on the rocks and I went with a frozen strawberry margarita. Both were very tasty. I ordered the arroz con Pollo and my husband had the Carne Asada. Since we checked in on yelp, we were given a free, small, queso dip. The chips were strong, and the queso was wonderful. Our portion sizes were large, and we both enjoyed our dinners. I saw an add for Bugambilias and decided to try it out. They're located in a strip mall just off of 86th Street near Costco. The restaurant isn't big or super fancy. The service however was really great. There was only one employee waiting tables in the dining room and the place wasn't packed but it was at least half full. The server did an excellent job taking care of everyone. The chips and salsa were good. I had chorizo con papas tacos and my boyfriend had the carne asada. I learned about this woman-owned restaurant on the Indy Local Foodies Facebook group and it is the best Mexican food I've had in Indianapolis and one of the best Mexican restaurants I've eaten at in the United States (And I live in California!). Cute restaurant in strip mall in Castleton. Server was extremely friendly and helped explain some of the unique dishes from Puebla, which are featured and specialties of the house (they also have tacos and Tex Mex). I ordered the Enchiladas Poblanas with Pipian Verde and it was divine. Savory tomatillo, pumpkin and peanut based sauce smothered all over perfectly prepared enchiladas. Next time I want to try the spaghetti!! I also asked for house made hot sauce and she brought me two. Both were so good and the habanero/serrano hot sauce was mindblowingly good. It's hard to find spicy food here in Indy so the fact it brought tears to my eyes made me very happy. Margaritas are great, too. Fresh squeezed juices and good tequila. Little restaurant, big flavor! I've had this place bookmarked to try for awhile now and I finally got the chance when some friends came into town on we stayed on the Northside. We stopped in on a Friday around 7pm and it was packed. But the staff were working overtime to check in on tables and keep everyone supplied with drinks and food. The raspberry house margaritas were delicious and freshly made. They had an extensive margarita menu featuring various types of alcohol and flavors. The street tacos are large and I could barely finish two after polishing off two margaritas and some chips and queso. But they were so good. I tried the taco arabe since I've never seen those before on a menu. It was spicy but a good level of heat. The pollo asada came with plenty of cilantro which I love. The service was fantastic.
