I would rate the actual resort 4 stars, but the friendly and exceptional service provided by the staff merits a 5. We made our reservations not really knowing what to expect. What made us stop and rethink our decision was the public beach you need to drive through before entering the actual resort. We found it quite odd to drive through the sandy beach and park there. The guard will notify the front desk, and a staff will come and unload your luggage. The young lady at reception was friendly and accommodating offering us our welcome drinks as we checked in. The rooms (with balconies) are spacious, clean and have views of the pool and the beach. Food at Bugana's Kusina Kalayo was amazing. We loved the options, and we enjoyed all our meals. The beach is clean although the public beach next door (separated only by a fence) was busy and loud. The attentiveness of the staff and their "get to yes" attitude were commendable. read more
