We had the best time at Build-A-Bear! The staff were patient, kind, and helpful -- especially with two young kiddos who had been on the Polar Express earlier and were hopped up on excitement, cookies and hot chocolate! LOL The store is laid out really well - and parking was great. There are lots of characters to choose from, along with many, many accessory choices. The process to fill the stuffies was fast and of course heartwarming to watch as they did the "heart story" with each child. I have to add, that we arrived very late and almost at close because it was after our Polar Express train ride, but the staff were super nice and didn't make us feel rushed. I know they must have been ready to go, but they made experience special for the girls, and it was appreciated. I may have to go back -- for this kid at heart. After a cancelled concert for Blink182 we decided to make the most of our trip to STL. Discovering that the BAB HQ was there we decided to make our way there and we were not disappointed with the selection that was available in stock. Ended up adding three new BABs and several outfits to our daughter's collection. read more

Fix issues, make your customers keep coming back. I order every year... well used to anyway. Over price shipping and they don't even ship it on time. Incomplete orders. Doctor who addition came with no tardis boxes, just crammed everything in 1 cardboard box ( looks like crap . I order the same way every year. I called and nobody helped much. 160 dollar order and I'm not getting what I paid for. I even offered to pay extra for 2 tardis boxes and got denied. I guess they take your money and don't care about their customers or the quality of their product. Very unprofessional and poor customer service. Very disappointing my family and myself used to spend alot of money with this company but noticed over the years they aren't as good as they used to be but I spent more money this time than I did before. I can't really gift something that looks like this. We will no longer waste our money with this company. What a shame. We LOVE Build a Bear and drive from Oklahoma to visit the headquarters for our twins 7th birthday! It was EVERYTHING, even during Covid. Friendly, super clean, LOTS of choices and even the BAB Radio. Josh went above and beyond to help make our experience special with our kids. Highly recommend this location. read more

Build a bear is fun for everyone. The St. Louis bears were a perfect touch. We were able to get my son a Clydesdale horse stuffed animal. I've never seen this at any other build a bear. He was so happy! read more

Not the best build a bear. Staff was not busy on a Saturday at 5, one hour until closing, but did not say hello to my child after walking by several times. Staff says there is no restroom which is surprising for a place that hosts birthday parties for children. There also is no seating anywhere for parents while waiting. For the headquarters I was disappointed. read more

I took my son and daughter to pick a bear. We initially had to wait outside due to covid restrictions. We were I. The store for over two hours. The girls working were pleasant but there was one person at the register so needless to say the wait to check out was unbearably long. I and my child asked to use the restroom and was told they didn't have one and I could leave in the midst of creating our bears to go to another business to use their restroom. I felt irrate after being in hot store entirely longer than I wanted to. I feel after spending $150 on stuffed animals as well as the length of time we were stuck waiting to pay, the patrons should be able to use the store's restroom. The girl checking me out told me there store didn't have restrooms. I questioned how the employees working 8 hour shifts managed. I asked this k owing she was lying because they have a bathroom. She than admitted there were restrooms but due to covid no patrons could go past a certain point. I respect and understand following covid guidelines but somethings don't make sense. read more
