Teachers are not well trained or supported. There is a very high teacher turn-around. We had several issues regarding the safety and hygiene at this daycare. We have given this daycare many chances, but they continued to disappoint us. We only stayed, because we happened to have a great teacher who has obviously since then left - following many other teachers who chose to work at different daycares that actually care about the education and wellness of the children.

Alex is also very caring and helpful during all hours and days of the week. They have also supported us during stressful times, especially COVID. They stayed operational while other daycares closed for months. This was greatly needed, as we are full-time working parents and Alex and Mikey made us feel safe with leaving our child. According to my experience, the director Alex is very professional and responsible on her work. I think She manages the daycare very well. My children both started from toddler and I'm very happy with the teachers here too. The children have breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack in the daycare. So I don't have to pack lunch for them. Also, they are less picky here than they are home. They learn letters, numbers and sciences during morning. After lunch, they take a nap. Usually their teachers spend a lot time and energy to sooth them so they can fall asleep (if you ever try to put a young child to sleep, you know what effort that takes). I really appreciate the teachers' patience. Generally speaking, I'm very happy with the daycare and highly recommend it to all my friends.

On my first tour of the school…read more(back when my son was 3 years old) I found the classrooms to be neat and clean, filled with learning toys, books, and art works from the children. All the teachers looked happy and the kids looked happy as well. I loved the fact that they have four classrooms, a separate lunchroom, and a separate auditorium. Mark of Excellence is open all year round with a couple of days off (major holidays ect..) and does not hike up the rates in the summer. I toured other pre-k facilities and was shocked to find everything was done in one room. It has been two years and my son is doing great. He has learned so much and loves his teachers. I know he will be ready for kindergarten in the fall and in some areas be advanced. I always check the meal calendar and know that he will receive a healthy and balanced breakfast, lunch, and snacks. I placed my son's name on the list when he was 2 1/2. I hear now spaces fill up quick.

The LRR team has been welcoming; from our son's initial introduction to the facility, they have kept us well informed of how he was transitioning to a new campus and classroom. The team has done a great job of developing and sustaining a strong partnership with parents. That parent partnership has extended beyond the initial introduction as teachers set up Zoom sessions to virtually tour the classroom. They could continue dialogue with us as parents around upcoming programming and events. Bright Horizons on Long Ridge has also done a great job fostering strong communication with families throughout this challenging time with COVID to keep us up to date on any impacts to the facility, staff, and/or classrooms.
