Everything seemed great... ease of ordering, on-time delivery... until we opened the box and realized we received an incorrect order, this after the very polite & nice delivery person had left. Immediately calling the company, we were told they delivered what was ordered, although we disputed that claim. Completely unlike what their written online policy says about them contacting the restaurant in an attempt to correct a wrong order, this 'manager' said there was nothing he could do. When we asked if it was simply our loss... the cost of meal & delivery charge... he said, "Unfortunately, yes." I then called the restaurant myself. They sincerely apologized & said they would have a new order ready within 30 min & have it delivered to us, which we greatly appreciated, but we said we would instead drive there and pick it up. Once there, the restaurant again apologized for the error. The restaurant - excellent. OrderBulldawgFood.com - we will never use them again, nor will we recommend them to anyone. It's just not worth dealing with a problem should one exist. Great! delivery service. I can order off of any menu that is available in their service and get my orders for a reasonable rate. I first started using them 1yr ago and never to this day have had any problems with the service. I tip pretty good so maybe that's why lol. This place allows me to order and then calls to cancel. They explain to me that my address is not correct (the one the post office gave me). The tell me they won't deliver to me and hang up after the lecture. Don't worry, with service like that I will NEVER use your service and let everyone know about my experience. You could've had a new customer that tips really well, but now you have ensured that I won't use you even if you become an option in the future. First the good part of review. You will eventually get your food. Maybe within hours. The issue is their tracking of the delivery. It is useless and ridiculous. The time frame changes every minute. So when it says 12 minutes don't get excited. In 2 more minutes it will say 57 minutes. And then will just keep changing. There is no rhyme or reason to it. This happens every single time. Not an isolated incident. I try and support local but this is just nonsense. At least with Uber Eats you can get a much better idea when your food will arrive. I'm done with BulldawgFood. Very disappointed in the service from Bulldawg food. My order was 25 min late. I called the customer service line and reached Brandon. He told me it's not their fault the restaurant kitchens' get backed up and said "sorry I didn't think to call and let you know 10 minutes past the delivery time." It was not 10 minutes past, it was 15 at that point. While he talked over me he said they do not have a "customer is always right policy" and that I was "welcome to call the managers when they return from vacation because they will tell me the same thing." He said he would refund the $2.99 delivery fee but that was all he would do. I understand restaurants are unpredictable but at this point Bulldawg charges nearly 50% in fees for orders placed. At that rate, I expect a courtesy call to let me know the order status. When my meal finally arrived, it was cold. Obviously it had been sitting at the restaurant. read more

Convenience is the key word here. Delivery times vary, understandable in a college town, just understand you could end up with room temp food. I have had incorrect orders or missing items on several deliveries and you, the customer, are SOL. Bulldawg will simply refund you the cost, meaning if you were looking forward to the ice cream chocolate brownie for dessert you will need to leave the house to get it, kinda defeats the purpose. KNOW THIS: Bulldawg jacks up prices on their delivery menu, charges for the delivery, and recommends an 18% tip. We could have picked up Depalmas for 39.00 or paid Bulldawg 54.00 plus 18% tip. Again, convenience is the key word for a service that is hit or miss. read more

A delivery service is a great idea for people that can't get away for lunch but don't expect much from the delivery driver. I have used them multiple times and you never know who is going to show up with your food. Sometimes it is a college student other times its someone in pajamas... if you are dealing with people's food you probably shouldn't be wearing the clothes you and your dog just snuggled in. Like I said it's convenient and I probably will have to keep using their services but maybe some uniforms or clothing guidelines would help. read more

Uuuuugggghhh. It's always something with this service. Last time there was a problem I called just to let them know and what I got was a rude douche just telling me to get the app. Hey guess what? If you can't make your website work, why would I want your app. I really wish restaurants would just go back to having their own delivery people and get rid of these companies. The Wife and I decided to take it easy for our Anniversary this year. We drove to Athens and stayed at a Quality Inn suite on Atlanta Hwy. The weather was great! Yet, we stayed in for the majority of our time. After contemplating which restaurants we wanted to eat from we went online to choose a delivery service. To our surprise this one service offers a wide selection of places to pick from! However, I was appalled by some comments left on the site by customers. I was happy to find, despite what I read from online reviews, Bulldawg Food offers an amazing service in the Athens area! We ordered Lunch and dinner for 2 days from different restaurants downtown without having to wait in a line or step foot in a crowded dinning room that smells of old-spice, bubble gum, and jock straps. The food never arrived late and the staff on the phone was precise and to the point. Judging by some reviews about how unfriendly the drivers were, how we shouldn't expect much from them socially and stuff.. I mean, why would you think we need to harass these fine folks because they ain't chatty? Or dress according to your taste? We open the door as is.. NO HOLDS BARRED.. FLAPS OUT! TOP DOWN.. Wait.... Should I remind all of you that this is A FOOD DELIVERY SERVICE!?!?! I wasn't looking for companionship, it is a business not a lonely hearts club. Some customers complained also about the fees and rude owners... We had no such issues. The fees are proper and again unless you feel the need to have a long drawn out conversation with your driver or the guys on the phone, not one of them was "rude". You aren't the only customer that day. CHILL OUT eat your food which you didn't have to pay or deal with parking downtown to get! It was going to a UGA dorm and they called when they got there. It was very much worth it. We were sending a surprise dinner to an under the weather student. These guys consistently fail to bring the correct order!!! They often don't call to let you know that they can't bring you your complete order; instead, they show up over an hour later, with half of your stuff missing. Then you have to go through the trouble to call in to get stuff taken off your bill - almost every single time!!! I have made several orders with these guys over the past few months, and there are definitely some times that the order was correct upon delivery. However, there is a DEFINITE trend towards disappointment and hassle because they are not committed to bringing you what you ordered. Additionally, when they bring you an incomplete order, THEY should be responsible for adjusting your bill for you - rather than expecting you to make sure you were not overcharged. The people that manage this place are horrible. The service provided is great until there is a problem, then believe me, these people will NOT take care of you. I spent over $1,500 with Bullldawg ( I was a good and frequent customer) and as soon as I had a problem, the managers not only did not take care of the problem, they were so incredibly rude to me, I couldn't even believe it. They hire independent contractors to deliver to college students and DO NOT CARE if these contractors use your number to harass you/text you for personal purposes. I ordered from them last night and had a driver come to my house and after that, he sent me COMPLETELY inappropriate text messages and when I called to complain to a manager about it, he said he has no control over it and will "talk to him." The price is very high! Like some of the other yelpers stated they are clueless on their own charges as I called to ask what a, "service fee," was added on top of the delivery fee for and no one seemed to know the answer. Not to mention they do not tell you that they charge .50 cents just to use your card, you will just see that the total was .50 cents more on your bank statement. Also as one yelper had stated, the food is either cold or lukewarm at best. I had asked one of the drivers why this is and they stated that the company gives one driver an average of three orders at a time during peak hours, sometimes even four at a time! This is great for the drivers, but bad for the food. Also the drivers tend to be lazy when it comes to keeping the drinks cold as they are almost always delivered hot, as the drivers tend to not ice the drinks. I mean the concept it good. I just think for as much as they charge, they would take more care with the food, and ensure that it is delivered hot and the drinks delivered ice cold. read more

The customer service representative was very rude and said he did not believe my food was cold... I ended up paying over $20 for a $10 meal that was cold. I am often stuck at home in ill health, so have ordered a lot of food from these folks. Sometimes they do well, & when they don't, they make NO effort to make it right, even treating me as if, when delivered the wrong order, & returning it to the driver who screwed it up, I might have eaten some of the food. If you use a debit card, never write the tip in until after the food has arrived. I usually tip with cash- so the drivers get it right away. Bit, beware the drivers- a couple have tried to snatch the debit card rcpt out of my hands so quickly, hoping, I think, that they could pocket the cash tip and write in their own. One guy in particular has been obviously annoyed that I take the time to check my order, read the rcpt., & look in tbe bag, to make sure it's correct. Delivery folks are a mixed lot- some wonderful, & some very scary. None seem to stay with this company long. I have a hate-tolerate relationship with this company, & only order when desperate. read more

I requested a meal to be delivered to a Watkinville address to a friend of mine who is sick with 3 small children. I gave them a $20 tip above and beyond any cost and they never indicated anywhere on their website that they do no deliver to Watkinsville. They never delivered the meal, and while the meal cost was refunded to my account (or at least it's pending). The friend called me (on the number I gave them) and said she'd never received it, 2 hours after the delivery was to happen. When I called and spoke to the person at Bulldawg Food, they neither offered a refund, did not apologize sincerely, and repeatedly told me that they simply do not deliver to Watkinsville. I would never have known the food had not been delivered if it was not for my friend (with her three toddlers) calling me. They have the flu- this was a pretty simple request that I was more than willing to pay generously for. The apology I received for the problem was about the most disingenuous apology I've heard in a while and I told the gentlemen so. I will never use this service again and it is my sincere hope that this doesn't happen to others who choose to use this company. I live in Atlanta, and we have a few options for services like these- this group just needs a little competition- the Athens area deserves better than this! read more
