I love Bumps. I love it in winter because I can get all my ski equipment rented here. I love in summer because they carry a great range of surf gear and beachwear. Someone told me about Bumps a while ago but it was only last winter that I decided to venture here. Since I'm just a beginner on the slopes, it really didn't make sense for me to buy my own ski's so renting has been the only option. Even though they were really crowded and busy the day I went in, the sales staff were really attentive and helped us choose ski's, ski boots and gear, while helping us save some money by suggesting alternatives. They also gave us really good advice about layering and keeping warm (and cool indoors) which cam in really useful when we actually got to the slopes. Bumps are great as a local surf, skate and snow sport store. Sitting on a corner on Glenhuntly Rd it's big; with lots of stock on show and the guys working there are total pros! Heaps and heaps of good snow gear and skate gear where it's totally worth a browse when coming into the snow season to pick up and extra accessories you might need. Like I said, the guys there are total pros and will work out and spend the time to make sure you leave with the right gear for whatever sport/hobby you're looking at getting into. I recommend it if you're starting out as well just because they will help you get the right gear as a beginner. read more
