It was okay but not great. We've been wanting to come here and unfortunately it just didn't hit the spot for us. Lately some of the restaurants I've been going to during their first few weeks of opening, the experiences haven't been that good. Usually when we go during these times is when they have their best food but Bun & Oc, and a couple other ones, just haven't been on point like you would expect. The $10 special pho which includes brisket, meatballs and a rib is such an amazing deal. Lots of noodles and I liked how each pho came with its own toppings and sauce. Portion was so good for the price. I tried the banh beo chen and it was a great appetizer. The croutons added a good crunch and I liked that the fish sauce was not overly powerful. I'll definitely come back for the special pho for lunch during the week. Broth was good but on the fattier side which I prefer. Restaurant was clean and spacious. Service at this restaurant is extremely terrible. Half of the dishes on the menu (including popular Heineken beer) are not available; they just simply don't have them. Foods are pricey. The waitress is not really helpful. You would have better foods and service somewhere else. We definitely do not recommend this place to anyone. Ordered the beef leaf wrapped vermicelli and wifey ordered happy hour pho special. Both were good, but the pho should have been left in the pot for a bit longer to give it a stronger broth taste. It was all cooked just right. We plan to come back again to try more dishes. The servers were friendly and got our orders right. We assume that the owner opened this one up as a second location, because there's another one in Seattle. He was behind the register once we paid, so he seemed like a cool guy. ZERO STAR -- DON'T GO HERE. They completely missed my order. They only brought my husband dish, and after an hour, I flagged my waiter down to asked what about my order? The table next to us came after us, ordered what I ordered and they already got their food. They claimed they had trouble with equipment, well then, how was the others who came after us got the same food I ordered and I'm still waiting for mine. We just paid my husband dish and left. He ordered bún bò Huế, the noodle was the wrong noodle for that soup, soup base was just warm and the color doesn't look right. Just a pinch of veggies. Portion was small for about $13. The worst service. Multiple tables are dirty. Waited 30mins to be seated. No one else in line waiting on the list. Once seated you can hear the cooks in the back coughing. Food is not good. read more

Great vietnamese seafood dishes with lots of shellfish. They have some traditional dishes too, great place to eat family style. Service is still slow since they are new, but over all food is delightful we had razor clams, rice snails, mango salad, roasted squid, bun Thai and bun rieu oc. read more

I used to order food from Bun & Oc Seattle delivered up north. Love Bun & Oc Seattle. I'm so glad they have the new place in Everett. All the Snail Muscle dishes are good. Lemongrass spicy noodles soup tastes authentic but it comes with cold broth for takeout. Hope the broth was not too old. read more

It was my first time trying Bun and Oc in Everett and here are what I thought and why I gave them 3 stars: 1. They have variety of ốc in the menu but when I order them they said they don't have and asked me to choose different ones. 2. The price seems reasonable/low but portion is really small compared to other restaurants. 3. The presentation is not attractive, looks cheap but to be fair the taste is good . I ordered 2 different kinds of noodles to try (bún mắm and bún riêu ốc) cả 2 loại bún điều được cho cùng 1 loại rau ăn kèm đó là bắp cải, không có rau mùi, không có bắp chuối hoặc là rau muống... Nói chung nếu nhìn qua giá cả thì nghỉ là rẻ nhưng thực tế thì kg rẻ bởi vì những lý do nói trên. You can try one to experience yourself and see if you have the same thought as mine, basically, IT IS NOT MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT, it's just OK to go to once in a while. read more

Easy 5/5, the place is authentic compared to their Seattle location and offers many of the same menu items. The Banh Beo is the sought after item here, more often than not you'd always have to make your way to Seattle previously to get that sort of thing. But luckily the vietnamese community can travel to this location. The previous restaurant that was here "Hello Vietnam" served it too, but it was . Delicious food! So many options to choose from. I settled with the Bún Bò Huế (noodle soup from Central VietNam) - the broth was hot & just spicy enough to make you inhale & quickly take another spoonful. Inside restaurant was not well prepared with no napkins, no forks, no spoons, no chopsticks, etc. No beers or wines even though the owner keep saying (or lying) that he's getting the license for it. Oc/snails were good. Pho/rice noodle, Bun Bo Hue, rice were bad and no taste. The meat in them were old. The service was not organized but was acceptable. read more

My most recent experience with Bun n Oc was good. The grilled ground beef mix wrapped in piper lolots served as an appetizer is delicious. I like their big menu; all the snail dishes are nice but pricey. read more
