Had a nice talk with a few ladies that work here. They are mistreated by management (mostly the…read moreowner) and in my opinion, underpaid, even though the price of classes and the memberships are extremely high. The staff that work at the front and some fitness instructors are condescending and others 'seem' overly nice from a distance as if they are trying to cover their tracks. The childcare room is the size of a walk in closet and they squish in 10+ kids from age 0-12 mixed together with only two staff members to direct the chaos. I have overheard management talking with the childcare staff and it is pure disrespect to the ladies watching our kids. They do their best having little to work with and like almost everyone working there, are clearly under valued. I have asked the ladies questions about this and they refuse to talk about it in fear of getting fired. To overhear management belittle their employees and 'coach' them in a way that sounds more like verbal abuse and harassment deters me completely from this facility. They have great retail, products and classes but something is very wrong here. The employers are not demonstrating a family within Oranj Fitness or any kind of genuine love, support or acceptance. They seem to only want to profit from their business. You shouldn't have to tell authority members to be humane and to treat everyone including the staff with respect and care. There is no need to mistreat and obsessively control your staff.

I arrived half an hour before and the doors were locked. I signed up online so I was puzzled. I waited and finally someone came to open the door. During the class the instructor was very hard to hear and difficult to understand. It's very difficult to have a bad yoga session (I didn't think there was such a thing!) but this wasn't as enjoyable as I would have liked :( She was very aggressive in her adjustments. I paid for the month so I booked another class for the following day. It snowed the night before but turned out to be a beautiful day - yet all classes (at both locations) were canceled. Okay, so I booked the following day for a spin class to try that out. A few hours before - the class got canceled! I have 30 days to try out this studio and 2/3 times I book - classes get canceled?! I expressed my concern and the owner refunded me $20. I don't know where she got that number from but I basically paid $30 for one class. As a previous yoga studio owner, I'm so disappointed and would NOT recommend this studio.

In my case she told me I was "the worst student she had ever worked with,". This was not tied to specific corrections or guidance it was personal and degrading. believe teachers and choreographers should correct technique and behavior without attacking a student's worth. This kind of language creates an unsafe and discouraging environment, especially for younger or more vulnerable dancers. I also found the I found the choreography poorly structured and unclear. Im sharing this so future students and parents can make a better informed decision. Safe to just go to DJD where the teachers are respectful and welcoming, hope that Krysten is not a substitute there.

I've carried on as a student with Pole Junkies and will soon be completing Level 6 of pole fitness…read more I think I've gained about 5lbs in muscle and am really proud to be able to physically handle the progression through the classes. Monika, who has been my instructor for at least the past 3 levels, is great. She's practical, provides good feedback and is an intriguing person, which makes me appreciate her as a teacher. I attended the 4th Annual International Pole Camp this year, which is hosted by Pole Junkies. I'm not sure that I would spend the money on it again unless some improvements are made, but there's no doubt that I acquired some good info, met some cool and extremely talented women who traveled long distances and am really happy to have a manual that includes helpful information and reminders addressing safety and injury management. Those who know me are well aware that I've had to deal with injuries numerous times already. Based on what I've heard from students about their experiences with other schools, Pole Junkies stands out from the competitor in terms of progression of skills and ensuring proper body alignment with all techniques. If I manage to continue pole fitness without completely breaking myself (you learn a lot about what your body can handle and where you have issues), I hope to demonstrate as an advanced student by mid next year and wouldn't go anywhere else for my training. 25/30 for Yelp's 30 Day Challenge

Maybe a little too warm for me The layout was good and the equipment was also good. No complaints here...except when i was visiting the last day . Some one had broken into the lockers in the ladies room. So be warned ..bring a good lock or put your things in a place with more foot traffic. The front desk wasnt staffed at all times . And when it was they werent the friendliest. But then again ..im only here for the gym!
