So let's be real, this is one of those cheap hotels that you go to when desperate. With that in…read moremind, I feel this style of hotel needs a 1-5 star ranking in its own category and not compared to a Marriott. For the price I paid, didn't expect much but was somewhat surprised of the room. My first mission was to try and get in my room without kicking it down, looks like they recently upgraded to keyless entry and was not properly installed. Once Inside the bed pretty much smacks you in your face.... Good news bout this is is be able to hear someone breaking Into my car since it's ten feet away from me. It has the usual carpet that you're scared to walk on barefoot and also the outdated furniture from way back..... However you can see signs of the room being upgraded.... But on a budget. All that's fine, it's good to see it was done. Upgraded shower, faucet, sink, toilet, tv and bed....yes a comfy King bed. Gripes are... -window heater.... Sucks big time. I froze my butt off all night, that thing ran all night and I still froze.... Didn't help once u take off the decorative bed cover, u have one thin sheet to keep u warm -the soap.... You get one bar to wash your hands then Carry it to the shower to wash yourself also. -Shampoo comes in a little packet, good luck girls. -again, the door, you have to kick it open and shut -dirty carpet -ugly orange wall paint. Again, I'm giving this a four star in the cheap avoid if possible... Hotel ranking category. I liked the room for as old as it was and I liked the updated stuff that was done to it. Don't be too afraid to stop here if you need a place to crash for a few hours.

Had the good fortune of staying at the Copa unexpectedly. For the price, it is a great value. My…read moreroom was clean, and to my taste well decorated. The grounds are kept up and the coffee in the morning was great! A lot of this I attribute to the new manager who seems to be really on her game. I plan to come back.

The toilet seat was not secured with screws to the frame, the shower didn't function properly, and I was awakened from sleep at 1am by the night clerk who said she had a noise complaint. We were in bed, not talking, and no TV or electronics to make noise. Nothing. She insisted. The same clerk, who had a clear language barrier (India) argued with me about the pronunciation of the vehicle I drive as well as the color as she stood typing my registration info. She was cold and unfriendly. Furthermore, I am a combat veteran, and the discount Best Western offered was just $6.00 on a $139 room. That's not a discount, it's an insult. I will neither recommend nor return to that hotel. It's old and maintains low standards and clearly does not honor the Best Western brand. Paul C., Oklahoma City

PEE SOAKED BED pull out couch was SOPPING WET with urine…read more My grandmother is a business owner who winters in Arizona. Every year she stops at this hotel both ways on her drive down from Minnesota. I am accompanying her to assist on her trip home tonight and was planning to sleep on the pull out couch. We reserved our room this morning ahead of time and arrived around 10:30 pm. After 13 hours of car travel we are exhausted. Opening up the pull out couch I first noticed something like pieces of tree bark on the sheets, and then found when I went to wipe them off that the sheets weren't dry. Then further realized they were outright wet. Sniff test confirmed the comically absurd and horrible fact that the sheets were soaked through into the mattress with pee. We called in the front desk woman who was helpful but not apologetic. She was ready to just give me new sheets and have me sleep on that mattress until I pointed out that it too was wet and stank. I am so exhausted that I just decided to not be difficult and just put the sheets on the dry but stiff adjacent part of the couch that doesn't fold up. My grandmother, who has been a habitually loyal customer for probably a decade, left the room to ask if they could reduce the bill. Now a man named Roy, who was either the manager or owner, was involved and when she explained our situation to him she was yelled at, threatened with being asked to leave, and accused of dirtying the bed herself as a scam. When she said that accusation was insulting he called her names. At this time it's reached about 11:30 and she is rationally scared enough about being unable to find another place to sleep that she just walked back to her room with some meager new bedding and hoped nobody came to remove us. This has been a dehumanizing and inhumane experience and she won't come back.
