My family has been shopping here for years and we've collected a fantastic display of talking point lights and lamps. I recently went into Pearl Lighting to pick up a gift and I couldn't resist a beautiful bankers lamp which was on sale for $77. As for what I was after, well the glass rose shaped lamp shade was on sale for, wait for it, $5. Amazing! These guys also stock interesting knick knacks like reproduced world globes. I've been looking for a world globe for ages and I finally found it. Sure it isn't vintage but it looks it. Guess how much? $60. So great. Highly, highly recommended.

I never knew how much I'd miss having a hardware/home/garden store at my fingertips til the old Mitre 10 closed. This fresher and much improved store is a very welcome addition to the neighbourhood. It's hard to walk though the store without coming out with an armful of DIY tools/products and there are lots of friendly, helpful staff around! Lots of room to stand back from the shelves and gaze/ponder (scratch your head) over the selection... and heaps of cool stuff to help get sh*t done! Broken tap? Fixed! Bathroom shelf? Got one! Jaffle maker? Got one of those too!

The shop is very old fashioned with some of the stock looking as if it came out of the ark I can't see it getting better. They stock paint and building supplies which are their biggest sellers and they have a car park out the back so tradies can load everything they need but the shop has halved its size since Bunnings arrived. I've been in there when I wanted something unusual or something quick that I know they sell. It's convenient, what more can I say.

They promised to deliver the product three to four days after the purchase date. I waited for more than two weeks and tried to reach out to their "Customer Service" multiple times. Each time, I got a different story! They ended up claiming it was the courier's issue, which was clearly not the case. The mobile phone ran out of stock on the website, and they had no inventory left. They weren't even willing to call me back, and every time I called, they asked me to call again in a couple of days. Their customer service couldn't be worse! After waiting for more than 20 days, they decided to simply cancel the order and issue a refund - without even consulting me. Now, I've missed the sales period as the EOFY time has ended, and I have to pay around $400 extra compared to the discounted price! I will never shop here again
