This place never disappoints! My bestie took me here two years ago for my bday and now it's my hubby and I go too when we want good authentic Italian food. The calamari is the best I've ever tasted and I'm a true foodie trust me I know real calamari from frozen calamari. When ordering wine they let you sample different ones until you find your liking. The ambiance is so perfect. They have indoor outdoor seating it's spacious and the staff is absolutely the best they all know the menu and I almost want to say they are Greek or Italian which makes the experience even better. This is my first time going to this restaurant. I went there because they were listed on the entertainment book coupon as being 25% off your meal. However, the owner said that he never even saw this coupon before, despite them having to agree to the terms and conditions to be a member listed in the book. The food was averaged best ordered truffle fries as an appetizer, which were basically McDonald's fries with some Parmesan cheese on them. It's a shame that they would not honor a coupon especially when it's your first time there. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth so I won't be back. read more

Went for a birthday celebration of 93 yr old parent, with reservations. They filed to tell us they were having a party for 70 and threw us in the bar area, on a Friday night. Owner swore it would not be loud. He should not sware. It was awful, load, crowded. When closing out, I voiced displeasure and he say, "oh, sorry". No drinks, % off, coming to table to apologize. So this review is specifically on the Mothers Day buffet. First, the web site said they would have an omelet station, but no "That was a mistake." Can I make a mistake and not pay? Auto gratuity of 20%. I understand that is needed but 20% is a bit stiff when we get our own food and all you do is bring drinks and clear plates. Waffles were Eggos. Piece off plastic found in the penne. Bagels but no other breads at all. Bacon was not great. Basically I have had a better breakfast buffet at an Embassy Suites hotel. I am somewhat surprised at the recent poor reviews, but than again this is the first time I have been here. We arrived for an early lunch and there were only about 4 other tables occupied. This is a really big place. We were seated and promptly attended to. Bread and butter were brought out before our guest arrived. And it was delicious. I had the Gamberi which came with 2 shrimp and chicken and a light sauce with sun dried tomatoes. I liked it so much that I ate almost the whole thing. Which is rare for me cause I almost always have leftovers to take home when I go out. The eggplant lasagna was okay. Lacked a little in flavor. The Rigatoni and eggplant was okay as well, but the waitress did mention that this was more of a PASTA dish than an eggplant one. I love carrot cake, but this one did not meet my standards. You can pass on it in my opinion. So I guess because the bread and Gamberi were good as well as the service I would consider going here again. read more

We had made a reservation for 9/3/23 @ 7 pm, not really realizing that they close at 9 pm but it was Labor Day Weekend. We arrived and as big as the place was, there was only one other table occupied. We were a party of 8. The staff was quite attentive and quickly took our drink order. We then ordered appetizers - Calamari (which my husband stated was one of the best he has ever had), clams casino and burrata. The only disappointment was the burrata - it was very small. I have ordered that as an appetizer many places and I have to say, this was the smallest portion I have ever seen, albeit - delicious. Everyone's entrees were delicious. My only concern/complaint would be that we felt as if we were being pushed out the door. Staff was unpleasant from start to finish. We are a very understand and warm family, even more so with the happenings of the pandemic and staffing shortages. Upon entering, we were coldly greeted. After being seated, we were not approached by any wait staff for a decent bit of time. Our waitress was extremely rude, unattentive, and displayed a clear attitude towards us. I asked her about items on the menu and she seemed reluctant to speak more than a word to my family. She completed failed to mention specials also. We have accents, and it was borderline embarrassing how she treated us because she made a show of how she "couldn't understand". Shame on this business. We went to the restaurant on Friday for a special occasion celebration. We were a couple and were sitter right away. In the bar area there was live music not too loud but i would prefer the audio system playing. We ordered a wine glass and a sangria together with some appetizers. The restaurant was not full. It took over ten minutes until we received our drink order. The oysters were good. The crostini was missing seasoning. My hubby ordered lobster ravioli while i ordered their special of black pasta with fish, mussels and half a lobster. When we received main course my husbands ravioli was great however my special which cost 30+ was overcooked. I was looking for the waitress the manager came and took the plate to redo the lobster. In the mean time my husband finished his meal because it got cold. So I ended up packing my whole meal and not eating it. Then we ordered dessert and coffee. When I tried eating my packed meal the next day it was even worse then the initial one. This is extremely frustrating. We came to celebrate however I ended up having only appetizer and a dessert. We came for the first time last night with my parents and had a great experience. The service was great. We ordered a bottle of wine, and the waiter was appropriately attentive. No one ever had to top off their own glass, our waiter was on that. The food came out after we had time to relax and enjoy our wine. Everyone liked what they ordered: my dad went old school with a meat sauce pasta. My boyfriend and stepmom went with a seafood marinara with mussels, clams, calamari, and shrimp on linguine. I had crab with San Marizano tomatoes, and herbs on angel hair. All plates were cleaned. There was no room left for dessert, but the cart looked amazing. The place was beautiful and clean, the staff was knowledgeable and attentive, and the food was great. We will happily be back again. read more

Have been coming here for several years now and I have to say it gets better all the time. Had dinner last night with my Bella and it was amazing. The drinks were great the food was very tasty but the service was impeccable. Our waitress was a sweet Italian woman named Paula. She had a great personality and was extremely efficient and quick. We had two couples come join us later for drinks and she made the transition very smooth. So refreshing to see someone do their job so well and take such pride in it. I rarely write reviews, but was compelled to do so this evening. My husband and I sat at the bar to have a nice dinner. The women working the bar was very slow to start. When we finally were able to order, 3 things, she did not notice that I did not have what I ordered until my husband had completed his meal. She was very busy talking to her friends. I told her to forget about the item since my husband had finished. She brought it anyway and it was burned. When she returned for the check, we mentioned that it was burned. She said that the manager said it was okay so she charged us for it. When I asked to speak to the manager she began to yell that it was not necessary for me to speak to the manager. I went to the other hostess and asked for the manager to inform him of her behavior. He said that "maybe she is having a bad day". We will NEVER return to this restaurant and will tell everyone we know about our experience. Worst service EVER!!!! read more

My daughter is allergic to sesame seeds and was given bread with sesame seeds by Buona Via after they told her there were NO SESAME SEEDS in the meal. She had to be taken to the hospital to stop the anaphylaxis. We now have a $100 restaurant bill and a $600 hospital bill. The restaurant never reached out to us after we informed them of the consequences of their actions. When I called the owner, Salvatore Carratta, he told me "we make a mistake to put the bread, your daughter make the mistake to eat the bread" and abruptly ended the phone call. When I emailed the general manager, Aprile Hibbs, she offered to give us $55 compensation. We declined to be complicit in their faulty practices so we rejected the hush money. read more

I can't review Buona Via on the quality of the food, the ambiance of the restaurant or even the attentiveness of the servers. I can't review on any those things because even though we fully intended on going to Buona Via for dinner, we didn't even get through the door, or successfully into the parking lot for that matter. My wife and I were going to Buona Via for Dinner because we had a Living Social deal we wanted to use and we're still hunting for a new "go to" Italian restaurant since our previous one drastically changed it's menu. We pulled into the parking lot, into a spot (there were more than a dozen open spots) and parked the car. Immediately we found ourselves being yelled at and told that we couldn't park there. It was the "Valet" who insisted that spot was valet only. So even though we were already successfully parked, we decided instead of dealing with it to pull around to the other side of the restaurant and into another open spot. We got out and started to walk in, when we were again confronted by the 'Valet" and told we couldn't park there because it was valet only. Growing tired of this stupidity I asked where we could park. The response I received was that I could give him my keys and he'd park my car... even though I had already successfully parked it twice, I needed him to park it for me. I had no intention of giving this guy my keys so I inquired where I could park without giving him my keys. His response was nowhere, apparently the only way to park at Buona Via is by handing your car over to a "Valet" Now to further expand on this completely pretentious load of shit, Buona Via is a standard Italian restaurant in the suburbs, this isn't some high-end restaurant in Center City where a Valet is expected. On top of that the "Valet" at Buona Via wasn't exactly someone whose first impression screamed "trust me". Yeah he was wearing a red jacket and tie, however I am confident the last time this guy wore a tie he was being referred to as the defendant, as in 'Will the Defendant please rise". So back to the review, the defendant ... sorry, valet, says to me "If you don't want to give me the keys I guess you don't want to eat here". If was the smartest thing he had said all night, and I told him so. Fuck Buona Via and fuck their stupid valet, there was no way I was eating there then or ever in the future. Which is really just that much more foolish when you consider the entire reason a business makes an offer through Living Social, Groupon, etc is to get customers exactly like me. A fat guy who loves to go out to dinner, has no problem grabbing several bottles of wine with dinner and when he finds a place he likes goes there over and over and over again. In conclusion just skip it and go somewhere else. There are plenty of other Italian places in the area that will make you feel like they actually appreciate you business. Not to mention ones that are damn good and less expensive for the same menu items. Search my Yelp history to find those places and please take this advice, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Yep, still a fan. Now in comparison, this 4 star Horsham staple may be 3 stars if in Philadelphia, but for Horsham it's as good as it gets. Now I don't have the service problems others experience as I always, repeat always sit in the bar and the bartenders are very very good at paying attention. I had a very good pasta special of scallops and shrimp in a scampi sauce over perfectly al dente cooked linguini. This was very good, a little expensive but very good nonetheless. The lagostini were still very fresh and flavorful. The salad starter with mini crab cakes (2) were OK. This is still a go-to place in Horsham. Anyone find anything better in Horsham, I would like to hear. read more

From the totally unnecessary valet attendants to the inattentive and slightly sexist wait staff to the needlessly giant hard cover drink menu, this place is really very pretentious. Why do we need a valet attendant with an attitude when the parking lot simply surrounds the building? What exactly am I paying for? You must pay for valet parking, though (we were there on a Saturday night) - your only other choice is to park elsewhere and walk over. As if this were in a walkable neighborhood. Our server gave me this impatient look when I told her I was not yet ready to order a drink. Our server did not check on us at all after our food arrived. She only came back when she wanted to ask me if I wanted more wine. My mom was treating us to dinner and yet our server automatically set the bill next to the man at the table. After mom took the bill and put down her credit card - which has her female name on it - the server still gave the credit card paperwork to him. They are not paying any attention at all. Bass-thumping music from the bar area easily seeped into the dining room. Not at all the right mood. The only reason this is getting 2 stars instead of 1 star is that the food was passable. The kitchen staff seem to be a different caliber than the public staff. Just go elsewhere. read more

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night with 2 friends. The service was excellent, very attentive. For appetizers we had clams casino and calamari, both of which were barely average, lacking much flavor. The calamari in particular was disappointing as it had so little flavor and the texture had me suspecting it was frozen. Entrees for my companions were the shrimp and scallops in balsamic reduction and the swordfish special. They both agreed the dishes were very good, especially the swordfish, although the portion of the shrimp/scallop dish was shockingly small. I had the lobster roll special which I was on the fence about but decided to try. That was a mistake. The menu said chunks of lobster with mayo celery and seasonings on a roll. Well there were 2 lobster claws and a few other pieces, but no mayo, celery or seasoning, just some cold lobster and frozen shoestring French fries. Desserts were tiramisu, a pistachio cake, and a truly delicious limoncello gelato. Overall it was an enjoyable evening but the lack of flavor in the calamari, the small portions and high prices of the 2 entrees and the very disappointing "special" lobster roll forces 3 stars from me. read more

I must have eaten at a different restaurant that the rest of the reviewers. It was actually pretty good. My client suggested this place because it was right next to their office and he had never been there before. Fine by me. I'm not from the area and don't know what's good or bad. Two of us ordered Caesar Salads and the other person ordered pasta. We all enjoyed our lunches and the service was exemplary. I distinctly remembered my drink (Arnold Palmer) being almost empty and the next thing I knew another full glass was sitting in front of me and I had no recollection of the server bringing it by. This is a review of the buffet brunch. (I have to say I laughed when I read a previous review saying it would get less stars if it were located in a better place. So because it is in Horsham, he would expect worse than in the city. In fact, we quickly realized this was a "blue-collar" type of crowd. I dare say we have found many gems out here in the burbs, and do not expect less just because of location.) Brunch was not good. The service staff was nice, the restaurant clean and nicely decorated. None of the customers (my daughter pointed-out) were smiling. The food was blah. Some examples of our disappointment: -None of the covered serving trays were labeled. And a lot of the food was indiscernible, especially in the darkened bar where the buffet was set-up. Were those pancakes rolled around raisins? No one was around to ask, so we skipped them. -The french toast and waffle triangles were cold and rubbery. Only an ihop-type of cold maple syrup was a condiment. No fruit or whipped cream. -Most things were just sitting in these sterno-heated containers, from the look and taste of it, way too long. -Chicken marsala salty, mozzarella cheese tasteless, dessert cake (not self-serve but manned by a grumpy man at the end of the bar) not wonderful. -No pastries (as advertised) present. Some nice things: -Cereal for kids in mini boxes, bagels were fresh and yummy, prime rib (we would call it roast beef), although a little dry, was good. The gnocchi were good, too. Lately I am finding myself going out alot in the fine area of Horsham, PA which is where Buona Via happens to be. First off, they have a GREAT Happy Hour menu which is what really got my fire burning, so when I had the chance to go for lunch - I had to go and I am sure glad that I did! Their lunch menu is huge and when you walk in you see a huge dessert cart (these are the days I wish I could eat gluten and dairy) and then you round the corner to an amazing lunch salad bar! This salad bar had everything on it including bean and pasta salads, fresh sliced meats and cheese and fruit. It was absolutely delicious! Fortunately I live in Philly where I have many better choices for fine Italian fare. The service was over-attentive. They tried to take away my soup bowl before it was half finished ... the lentil soup, by the way, was no better than canned Campbell's. What was their hurry? The place was 2/3 empty even on a Saturday night ... and they seemed to rush us as if they needed the table. The veal, fish, pasta ... was just okay. Not bad, but not particularly good either ... and in my party we all had exactly 3 courses: an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert - no wine (they had several selections in the $300-$400 range) and no alcoholic beverages. The average was between $36 - $48 per person, so with tax and tip the bill for just 3 people was over $150 closer to $200. How did they determine this place is only (two) $$? The decor was attractive, but nothing special in terms of charm, elegance, or character. The main dining room is big and crammed with lots of tables. They do have outside dining, though. My gaggle of sisters, aunt and step mom came here this past Sunday for brunch. First of all, the owner is STUNNING with his cute accent and face carved by gods. Good lord I'd give it four stars just for him. The ambiance is very inviting, although I did have to fix two pictures that were askew (anal right?). The service was quite impeccable, we were not pushed to hurry and they were very on their game. the food was really REALLY good. I had roasted veggies (pristine), eggs benedict, shrimp, gnocchi (HEAVEN) and about 2000 other things. I can't believe I literally didn't explode. The brunch was 20.00 and had carving and omlet stations so I thought it was reasonable. They give you a free mimosa. Although I ordered a bloody Mary which was kind of small and SEVEN dollars. WHOA!
