Located at the top of the main shopping street in Forster you can't miss it…read more Good choice of all the main Italian staples , pasta, pizza , slow roasted lamb and a few tapas dishes like garlic prawns, arancini balls and calamari etc It was a cold wet miserable night and being a Sunday in Forster there isn't alot open but we're happy to see these guys were We initially sat outdoors in the enclosed outside seating but it was to cold and with no heating we asked to move inside ( wasn't much warmer and no heating there either ) but the great service and deliciously heart warming comfort food nature of the dishes soon fixed that We had the garlic prawns ( 3 king prawns per bowl ) in a rich tomato onion and herb sauce with some crunchy sourdough started us if nicely and was the perfect meal as a winter warmer ( 3 prawns seemed a little light in though) Then we split a spicy pepperoni pizza which wasn't all that spicy but had a beautifully thin crisp thin crust , lots of gooey mozzarella and topped with huge slices of delicious pepperoni We opted for a couple of take home pistachio bars for dessert also delicious This is a popular spot that does take reservations and is good for groups couple and families Food is moderately priced , delicious and well worth the money Been here before and will be back for more

The big family knees-up dinner we had at this place was a 3-star good. It's a lovely fitout, dark and classy with an open balcony looking out onto the blue, blue ocean, as blue as ol' Blue Eyes' eponymous peepers. The North Coast is a luvverly place, but come the busy season I think they get casual staff in to deal with the demand - the lady we had did her level best but the Fawlty Towers theme music was playing somewhere in the background. The meals... well, there's an old Italian nonna in the kitchen saying "Ehhh, you too skinny!" because they are HUGE, like Hulk Hogan sized, just giant hearty servings. My garlic prawns were tasty, the salt and pepper calamari were the biggest rings I've ever seen, and really beautifully spiced, and the garlic bread and bruschetta were delicious too. The head of the table wasn't super keen on the lamb cutlets or the paella, which toed the risotto line and was caught in no man's land, but the T-bone got destroyed with vim and vigour. For a main course we decided to split the margarita pizza and the spaghetti with spicy marinara. Although the pasta isn't freshly made, they do import the real stuff from Italy, which makes a difference. Pasta was el dente and the sauce was liquid satisfaction. The pizza was cooked with a light crust and cheesy topping. We were approached multiple times by the owner to check to see if everything was okay. The only reason i'm not giving 5 starts is the lack of vegetarian options and that they aren't fully license. So BYO!
