We went to Burg Giebichenstein in late Spring 2015. The professors created an amazingly inspiring art exhibit for the 100th anniversary of the school. I am not an artist. Quite to the contrary. This place just has a pulse. Not everything is in the right place, but one gets the feeling that new things happen here. It was such a contrast to Bauhaus. In Dessau, everything seemed stale. In Halle, everything has a vibe. Does great design (and art) happen here? I have no idea, but the place has spunk. Not sure if the professor exhibits are still on, but they were remarkable. read more
