MY experience of it was simply as a biergarten, ordering beers from the beer stand. Elevated from the street, and surrounded on three sides by buildings (in various stages of renovation), it was a nice, congenial courtyard in which to have some beer, isolated mostly from the Schoenhauser Allee noise. It doesn't compete with Prater, but beats out whatever the biergarten at Kultur Brauerei, close by, is called.

Admiralpalast! You are my favorite venue…read more Located in the middle of the city. Do not drive your car, if you have one...parking would be ridiculous down here (but still doable). It is located on the top top top top floor. The place has a seating arrangement in such a beautiful way that you are either super close to the artist performing or you are going to be on the top but able to see everything. It is a very intimate setting. I went to see Heather Nova, and it was my first time seeing her live, therefore, there could have not been a better place to see her in such an intimate, small venue. I cannot wait to see other artists there. I will be looking out for this venue more often.

The deep maroon of the seating and the beige/light golden colouring of the walls went splendidly with the warm atmosphere of the building. It wasn't difficult at all to find our seats and the staff was helpful and kind. I arrived a bit early to scope out the rest of the venue and saw it was to my pleasure clean and well-kept. If you're looking for places in the area to grab a bite before or after the show, there are a few restaurants in the area. Directly right next door is Fritz 101, a German brauhaus Bavarian cookhouse with what I thought was wonderful pork knuckles and schnitzel, where my spouse and I went. Afterwards a walk down Friedrichstraße would be right in order.
