So I was very very hungry prior to arriving at the joint. I ordered a regular cheeseburger with extra toppings in it with fries and a drink, that's fine. I had my order really delayed, which didn't entirely bother me. I asked the server a question if it's ready as my order was longer than everyone else's who ordered after me. They told me that they accidentally mixed up the order and said that they're very sorry that it didn't come on time. The server Meghan, offered a milkshake on the restaurant! It was very nice of her to do that for me, although she didn't have to. And a few minutes later, my meal came. I really appreciate them giving me good service, whether there's an issue with something or not. It was also a little short staffed and the system wasn't correct, so I knew it wasn't entirely their fault! They served us, we should appreciate that they're here to serve us! I love their vegefi burger more than the beyond meat patty every restaurant is moving to. My biggest gripe is with their fries. I've been here many times and almost. every other visit one of us in my family will complain the taste is off. It's either too many burnt ends or it'll taste like a deep fried moldy potato. Just returned from BurgerFi. Great concept! The overhead menu is a hot mess, but the service is great and staff are friendly, at least for now! The milkshakes are awesome and well worth stopping by to try. I'm giving it a 3-stars because the food is good, but very OVER PRICED, nearly $10 for a hamburger. The onion rings were dripping in grease and very bland, when I got them---we ate one and end up throwing them away. They give you their "special sauce" but you have to purchase it. It basically tasted thousand island dressing.... I wasn't impressed. I'd return for the milkshakes only, but not to purchase the overpriced hamburgers and greasy-bland onion rings! read more

Really good and yummy !! I never had such as good burger like the burgerFi , the burgers are so big and incredibly filling. The breakfast all day burger is huge it looks like a regular cheeseburger but it comes bacon, eggs. (Trust me is better than what it sounds ). I'm not technically a vegan, but I had been excited to see that this place serves the soy-free Beyond Burger for the plant-based eaters out there. Having cooked the Beyond Burger at home a couple times, I was excited to try it in an actual burger joint because I thought they might do it better than I could do myself. Maybe having a commercial grill, restaurant seasonings and quality ingredients would make a difference, I thought. But alas, no! The burger tasted no different and certainly no better than if I had made it myself at home, only I paid about twice as much for it. Also, the side of french fries I got had been undercooked and taken out of the oil just a tad too early. So they were hot, but too soft and soggy to truly enjoy, and they cooled off very quickly and became almost inedible. As I was sitting there eating this very lackluster meal, I saw something that disturbed me (if indeed I saw what I think I saw). You know how in burger places - when you finish your meal you go and dump your paper liner and other trash in the trashcan and put your metal tray in a stack of dirty trays above the can? Well I'm pretty sure that once the stack of trays got high enough, a worker came out from behind the cash register, took the stack of used and dirty trays and placed them right under the food serve window, where she began lining them with new paper to be passed back to the kitchen for further use. Put another way, they do not wash, rinse, or sanitize the trays between uses by different customers. Your dirty tray is simply given a new paper liner sheet and then that stack of newly lined dirty trays is used by the cooks for another round of orders. I find that disgusting! Just imagine if the person who used your tray before you sneezed on it, had a cut on their finger, or otherwise dirtied it up. You are unknowingly using that same tray minutes later to eat your food! That's enough to make me lose my appetite and avoid this place from now on! Mediocre food plus unsanitary practices ... Issa no from me, dawg! read more

This was my first time ordering from BurgerFi, and it was excellent. I got the ceo burger and fries. The burger was fairly pricey so I expected quite high quality. I was not disappointed. The beef blend was fantastic. The bun was delicious but not overpowering. The bacon jam was superb. Overall one of the absolute best burgers I've had and I have had a lot. Fries were fresh cut and were similar to other fast casual places like Five Guys. I really enjoyed them. Delivery was quick. Order was accurate. I swapped out the aioli for normal mayo as I'm not a fan of truffles and they correctly made the swap. No real complaints. I'm new to the area and this will definitely be my go to choice for fast casual burgers from now on. read more

So, I love the chocolate Mlikshake. Something so easy is so often ruined, but not here. They keep it simple and keep it cold and firm. I loved that! I have had the CEO burger, the Veggie Burger, The cheeseburger, the BAD (Breakfast All Day) Burger, the Texas Style Hot Dog, the Grilled Cheese Patty Melt burger (can't even find that on the menu) and some Red Velvet Cement (Super dense custard with a layer of red velvet cake in the middle). They were all so good, but here are my top three they go in my order of favorite: Grilled Cheese Sandwich Burger CEO Burger with Wagyu beef blend, it just melted in your mouth. Veggie Burger (Incredibly delicious- I am a meatatarian but I could eat that regularly. Don't tell my stomach I said that...) Everything here was so great. It's modern, clean, fresh. They are super into recycling and upcycling so you can feel great about patronizing this place. Did I mention they serve beer and wine? Why go anywhere else? Not pretentious, just delicious. Staff was nice and helpful. Menu is very limited. Seating is warehouse style metal chairs and tables,read uncomfortable, and tightly spaced. There is some outdoor seating with a roof to protect you from the elements. The area is downtown so parking is limited. We found this place by accident today. Did not expect much because we are usually not very happy with DC area burgers. We were very pleasantly surprised. The quality of the ingredients, especially the meat was exceptional. They had a great selection, including a veggie burger which I bet is pretty darn good. I'm going to go out on a very skinny limb and say that I think these are the best burgers I've had in the Washington area except for really expensive ones at gourmet restaurants.Now my only problem is that we live in Rockville and BurgerFi is in Silver Spring. Immediately after posting my initial two star review, I was contacted via Yelp by a person who identified himself as Burger Fi's Customer Care Coordinator - I have intentionally withheld his name. He wrote, "We'd like the opportunity to speak with you more about your visit and to make things right. If you wouldn't mind, please e-mail your telephone number and availability to WeCare@BurgerFi.com, and a team member will happily follow-up with you." I was impressed with this display of concern for a customer who had a less than satisfactory experience. So, I immediately responded. That was on May 14, ten days ago. No response from Burger Fi. In the end, I am left to believe that the initial response was just pro forma boiler plate. For shame! read more

The bread and veggies were good, but the meat was dry. The half onion bowls that were supposed to be rings were a mess and the fries were just...you know how you have one fry and you keep eating until they're gone?..well not these. I didn't finish them. And I always finish my fries. It's still brand spanking new (less than a week), so I'll probably give them another chance or three cause the servers were so nice and it's so conveniently located. Full discolsure - I am a full-fledged Bobby's Burger Palace fan, so I judge every other burger joint against that standard. Now, on with the review of BurgerFi. I ordered the single burger with cheese, bacon and burger sauce and an order of salt and vinegar fries. It's easier just to list what was wrong: 1) Very small single burger; so thin that the bacon and other fixings were more robust than the burger patty itself. 2) Unlike Bobby's Burger Palace where they ask how you want your burger (rare, medium rare, etc), this patty was so thin that that option didn't exist. 3) Fries were limp (and I didn't ask for the limp fries that are on the menu) and though I asked for salt and vinegar, they tasted as if they had neither salt nor vinegar on them. This was not a fresh made burger, fries were not crisp, but limp and not at all flavorful. I will say that the pricing was good, but I can spend the same and get a real burger from Bobby's. Fresh. They certainly got that one down. My husband and I ventured into Silver Spring last weekend for a mini vacation outside of Baltimore and BurgerFi was right next to our hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott. After having a huge lunch (Big Greek Cafe - be on the lookout for that review) we put off dinner until late and went with convenience. Walking in the restaurant, it looked like your typical casual fast food place - bright, open, and simple, really. It reminded me of Chipotle's themes with the simple furniture. There wasn't a line when we got there and we were able to walk up and order. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and I went with the Kobe Dog Chicago Style. I know what you're thinking - why did you order a dog at a burger joint? Because I was SO full from lunch and what the hell? I like dogs, too. Why not try one at this cool little place we found? I was not disappointed. The dog came out on a fresh and fluffy poppy seed bun and had the works - mustard, onion, the TASTIEST fresh relish I've EVER had, peppers, and a thinly sliced dill spear. All of the toppings were diced in such a way that when you were eating it they didn't go everywhere. It was the cleanest dog I've ever eaten. Honestly, the only thing I wasn't "wowed" by was the Kobe dog itself. I will say that it wasn't greasy which is always a plus. I think next time I'll try the regular beef dog the same style. It's certainly not something that will keep me from going back. The bun and toppings sold me. Oh, but let's not forget about the Cry and Fries - onion rings and french fries. Massive onion rings. MASSIVE! And oh, so, wonderful. I try to stay away from onion rings (and fries, really) when I can because they are so bad for you, but I was vacation, right? Why not?! The fries were plentiful and enough to split between two people. They were fresh cut, not greasy, and scrumptious. The only thing they were missing was the vinegar, and I didn't see a bottle sitting out. I later looked back at the menu and saw that you can order "salt and vinegar" on your fries. Not sure what that means or how amazing that makes them, but I would have liked to see vinegar out at my disposal. The onion rings, as I already mentioned, were huge. They too were fresh, fried to perfection, and not in the least bit greasy. I was only able to eat two, though my taste buds really begged for more. After stuffing our faces we glanced at the custard menu and decided to raise the surrender flags. It was too much... I don't think our taste buds could've handled much more awesomeness. Bottom line is this: FRESH food made with free range beef, fast service, varied menu, and good location. And if you want to TRY and be good going there they have their calories listed online which, for me, is pretty awesome because even when I eat poorly (i.e. two massive onion rings I couldn't resist that were so worth it by the way), I still like to log it.
