Gluten free and dairy free review: So, we tried the gluten-free quarter pound colossal burger, 2 regular cheeseburgers with onion and pickles, and waffle truffle fries. The regular cheeseburger was like that lukewarm friend--okay but not bringing the heat, 3 out of 5 stars. Now, the truffle fries were a 5 out of 5. The dairy-free bliss strawberry sundae? Well, it got mixed reviews; I say 3 out of 5, but my daughter's giving it a 4, so it's a sundae standoff! The ice cream was doing a melty dance, not cool enough for the dessert party. I have had good sundaes in the past. Burgerville, of late, where you can hit the jackpot or miss the mark--it's a wild ride! The food is fresh. I've never had anything that looked or tasted older. The spring salad was delicious with the Apple cider vinaigrette and the portion size was perfect for a 5'2" 145lb woman but I don't think it would suffice for a man unless he was having something else with it. I also had their Crunchy sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast biscuit. It was warm and melt in your mouth delicious I did pull the onion out and put it in my lunch salad as I didn't want to start my day with onion breath. The cost was normal as prices go these days. I took my granddaughter and her friend there for lunch. The 7 year old ordered Fish and Chips kid meal. I ordered the Adult version. After $40 and how popular BV is I couldn't believe how horrible the food was. Minus the cole slaw () I basically had a kids meal. And it was nowhere near the quality I expected. But when I got wind that there were walla wallas in season I made it my second stop of the trip. Now going to a burgerville in Camas 20 minutes before closing time I'll admit, my pretentious views about Washington definitely clouded my judgement. I was skeptical and went in with certain expectations. But shoutout to my man Steven working the closing shift. That man exemplifies the definition of customer service. Steven was patient, friendly and really made me feel like a jerk for "managing expectations" just because it was camas and because it was 20 minutes before closing on a Friday. Burgerville franchisee or corporate, protect this man at all costs because if you don't I would hire him in a second. Also, if you're on the fence about trying the walla walla onion rings stop thinking and get in your car immediately. In the middle of an argument with your significant other? Walla wallas will solve it. Just leave mid argument and the walla wallas will make both of you forgot all about it. Getting served divorce papers? I found a lady bug and 2 dead ants in my burger yesterday. I've never had any trouble with them before, but never took a close look either. The lady bug caught my attention cause as soon as I opened the burger wrap it was crawling on my bread. I assumed someone thought it was funny and put it in there, no big deal. But as silly as it sounds the choice by corporate to switch from classic white onions on their burgers to a slimy strand of red onions is a corporate blunder. Can you imagine In N' Out using red opinions. No way EVER! Bring back the White Onions!!! I think I'll start a T-shirt campaign: "DONT MAKE ME CRY, BRING BACK MY WHITE ONIONS". Burgerville is a great go to with young kids. My toddlers love the fish and chip kids meal. I love the spicy bean burger - its a great vegetarian option without trying to taste like meat like so many of the gross impossible style burgers sold at other chains. This is my favorite burgerville as the service and accuracy is better than other locations (like cascade park area options). My husband loves the seasonal menu and the quality of the food. Fingers crossed that the fried asparagus tempura will come back next spring as I was sad it wasn't on the seasonal menu (but understand how supply chain has been impacted this year. I look forward to most of their seasonal specials, like asparagus and onion rings. One criticism - Their new "Coconut Bliss" smoothies are awful. I can't digest the dairy in their delicious regular shakes, so I used to get the smoothies instead. A few weeks ago, they switched to the new formula. I ate some of it and threw the rest out. Burgerville spread is what makes the burgers special.. at least in my opinion. I love it, and always order my burgers with xtra spread! The halibut fish and chips are really good, but 3 small pieces of fish and a small order of fries seem more like a kid's sized meal than an adult's. The seasonal shakes and burgers keep me stopping in every few weeks, however, the cost is pretty high for and most of the employees at the drive thru are not very friendly, some are barely even polite so it is not a regular stop for us. While the food is still pretty good, the prices and service has become ridiculous! The prices are really high and seem to keep raising. The other thing is their card reader asks for you to leave a tip, and they have a sticker covering some of the buttons so when you push the "no tip" button, or when you think you're pushing that button, you are actually choosing to leave a 15% tip. We REALLY wanted to like this place. We saw them everywhere when we moved to the area and thought it had to be good.... I will say that the service was fast and friendly, and we loved that they support local and sustainable food along with biodegradable cups, straws, napkins, etc. The local ranchers who raise the beef even came to our table to introduce themselves and thank us for buying. However the food was mediocre, my husband said that the Tillamook cheeseburger was dry and that the beef wasn't very good. His standards are pretty high though as he is from Argentina. I had the Halibut sandwich and it was pretty overcooked, dry and relatively uninteresting. Reminded me of a school lunch and made a Filet-of Fish seem like a moister alternative.
