On a day where I was raging around having not eaten or drunken anything the whole day, around 4pm by then...I decided to make a pit stop at a new burger place that had popped up near Nollendorfplatz.
Looked good, only opened the day before. I checked out the bill boards and thought ummm lot of fast looking food and little time, didn't quite peak my interest somehow until I read the regular chalkboard menu further into the store.
I just wanted a quick burger no fries, they all kinda sounded interesting but the one which caught my eye was the orient burger. A fresh Halal meat patty with Aubergine, rucola and a choice of feta cheese or garlic sausage. I chose feta and a very fine choice it was too :).
Despite not wanting fries I saw That they had sweet potato fries, onion rings and coleslaw yay! I restrained myself and ordered just a portion of sweet potato fries.... Yummarama!!!
I'm certainly going to back to taste coleslaw and if it's good I will be buying that take out as it's such a pain to make.
The service was super friendly.
My burger was really yummy. The only thing was the bottom bun was a bit soggy making it difficult to pick up :( but the taste was really good so I flipped it upside down to finish it off.
I mentioned it to the staff who apologised and said they would definitely look into it and seemed grateful for the input.
It's not a bad place to pop in for a quick burger. Much better burger than say JB for the price range. Of course I'm relying on the taste of the orient burger and sweet potato fries. Burger was tasty not greasy, fries perfectly crisp. service friendly. I was quite pleased with my choice.
The orient burger was €4.40, sweet potato fries €3 and I had an ice tea @ €1.80 so all in
€9.20
Let's see how it fairs in a week or so!
Chicken burger next, think it's quite hard to find a good one in a fast food place.
