HIGH ALERT Update:…read moreMy insurance company reviewed my records and identified a traffic ticket that Shawn Storey was supposed to dismiss. However, the ticket was not dismissed as promised. I was initially confused, and when I contacted my insurance, they advised me to check with LexisNexis for legal records. Upon doing so, I confirmed that it was the same unresolved ticket. As a result, my insurance premiums have increased by $120 per month, a rate that will remain for the next 5 to 7 years. This amounts to an additional $1440 annually and a total of $7200 over five years. Shawn Storey failed to perform the required legal work, and in a struggling economy, I am burdened with an extra $120 each month. I advise others to steer clear of attorneys who make false promises regarding dismissals or legal outcomes. I plan to contact him again to discuss this matter and seek a resolution. Update: Despite multiple attempts, he has not returned my phone calls as we speak.

When we both relocated to Maryland after many false hopes and false immigration, "experts," we felt defeated. We were asking ourselves, "when will God give us victory in my husband's case." As time went on, my mom, who works at a local hospital, came across a patient that referred us to a resourceful immigration lawyer that could help our case. Now let us fast forward to 2016/2017. Once we got the referral, we quickly jumped on it and visited this lawyer. After our initial visit, I felt there was some hope. As our case got going, the lawyer informed us that he would have another lawyer take the lead on our case. Marco and I were like, "here we go again"! Our case is being shuffled around the office. Now, here is the part our lives will forever change. Once we sat and met this new lawyer, she introduced herself as Anna Porter. After feeling her vibe, scanning her degrees and credentials on the wall (this was big compared to what we've encountered in the past)- we thought that this could be the light we were searching for. Moreover, what solidified that this will work; she had her mother working there (if I'm not mistaken) and recently married. In our culture, seeing something like that signifies being family-oriented and a person that possibly can help an immigrant fight for what is right. Then, in one visit, Anna dropped the bomb on us and said that she was moving to Texas and opening her immigration firm. Moreover, she provided an option of staying with the MD firm or coming along with her remotely. When she said that, my husband and I looked at each other and were like OMG!! Do we want to stay with the original firm, or do we want to go remotely with Anna? Mind you; we were in the "getting to know phase," so it was a tough decision for us to make. So, after careful thinking and going out on faith- we decided to go with The Porter Legal group family. Once we got acclimated with them, we started to work with Anna's husband closely. And let say Randy was beyond exceptional!! He has so much poise, a good attitude, patience, and rich knowledge about the USCIS system. Once our case started flowing, Randy and the Porter Legal group saw us through upside-down interviews, ENDLESS ENDLESS, ENDLESS inquiries, ombudsman reach outs, repeat paperwork, and a LONG TIME COMING DEPORTATION REMOVAL! Which previous false immigration reps could not have done. Now today, we leave this review to highlight, after many, many, many years (21 years to be exact)-even before 2012, I can express that NOW my husband has received his permanent resident status! He is finally a green card holder! All by the Grace of God and The Porter Legal group. I leave this long review to highlight this-if you are someone that is in the immigration battle and is feeling defeated-STOP and turn the volume of negativity off. And crank the volume of faith up! They were a little late…read moregetting here, but then they bring this big tub into the back office which were in the back of the house and they empty all the boxes into the tub and then they take it outside and they shred it here which is different than some of the companies I called who would take it to another site and shred it and then email you a certificate. But this company does it right in front of your house which made me feel a whole lot better and the guy they sent was so nice. I'm sure I will be using them again. And I thought it was a pretty good deal at 195 for 11 boxes.

My brother was killed by police and we hired Palmer Perlstein in high confidence to represent us but James & Rachel did absolutely nothing. Communication was absent and abhorrent. They would take 39 days to respond and when we got updates, it was for files they already had. James would say they'll do something and they never would. Before we could Fire them they dropped our case and their excuse was they're too busy. Nearly 8+ mos of being left in the dark and making no progress. Truly, I wish our experience was different but it was simply awful. Spare your family the headache working with this firm. The quality, value and service were unfortunately just terrible.
