Bonsoir Mesdames et Messieurs du monde de google, je salue le monde entier qui est à la recherche d'une maison chrétienne solide église et est en train de lire ceci. Je salue tous dans le nom précieux, digne, chaleureux, sincère, d'amour, de soin et merveilleux de notre Seigneur et Sauveur Jésus-Christ. Donc, voici mon honnête sincère, sincère, chaleureuse et franchement honnête critique de Christian français. Cette église communautaire de mon expérience formelle de six mois est assez intéressante, contradictoire, froide, arrogante, orientée vers les affaires, se sent bien et manque de structure solide au sein du leadership. Permettez-moi d'expliquer au monde avec beaucoup de détails et laissez le monde décider s'ils veulent le prendre ou le laisser et de ce qui se passe là de l'intérieur, surtout avec le fait que je suis un peu dans une extension compliquée. Alors, permettez-moi de commencer par les positifs de cette église et c'est le message évangélique traditionnel du pasteur qui est solide et les groupes de vie sont surtout incroyables du ministère des hommes au ministère des célibataires plus âgés alors que je suis jeune homme célibataire. Cependant, il y a de petits problèmes avec l'église que je n'aime pas et avec qui je suis d'accord, tels que les gens étant très nosy et deux gentillesse face, jamais mains avec le bénévolat et manque de structure dans ce que, très froid et grossier dans leur approche des gens avec qui ils sont en désaccord et socialement maladroit intellectuel introverti. Ils sont pour la plupart de bons chrétiens jusqu'à ce que vous deveniez membre et essayez de faire du bénévolat et si vous leur apportez des idées créatives, ils vous écouteront attentivement mais froidement vous rejetteront dans leur ensemble et puis pire encore, comme une insulte pour vous racontera des histoires sur vous à d'autres derrière votre dos. Imaginez ça, wow ? Impossible, mais c'est comme ça que je me suis senti avec le leadership et en désaccord. Ironiquement, ils essaient de devenir modernes et de se débarrasser complètement des hymnes ou de se fondre dans une fusion bizarre qui ignore complètement le but des hymnes tous ensemble. Ils oublient l'âge de leur église et les nouvelles éclairent car elle a cinquante ans. Ça va seulement vieillir et jamais plus jeune. De plus, la politique de l'église est toujours au sujet du prochain grand projet et de la façon dont nous pouvons l'accomplir. Malheureusement, cette église m'a montré une photo de moi dans le miroir et je me suis sentie plus comme une Église sociale parce que tout le monde parle autour de la zone de café et des tonnes de groupes bibliques sociaux pendant la semaine. Tant de contradictions dans cette église, mais je manquerai quelques-unes des solides connexions que j'ai faites à cette église. Je crains que cette église essaie de devenir la prochaine grande église qu'elle n'a pas besoin de devenir et d'être comme le reste d'entre elles. En outre, leurs vues calvinistes réformées sont cool jusqu'à ce que le petit drame et l'épaule froide qui est venu du chef de culte dont le nom est Mme Monica Blecher, le conseil d'administration dans lequel il y a beaucoup, M. Tibetts, Mme Lisa et le gars de communication nommé M. Greg T. Ironiquement, alors que j'étais un peu malheureux avec l'église jusqu'au petit drame fou de toute l'équipe de direction. Ironiquement, le pasteur qui aime le jardinage et les anciens hymnes traditionnels de l'Évangile me lignent en quelque sorte une graine qui, je pense, venait du Seigneur, pour retourner à mon ancienne église de campagne dans l'ouest de la Virginie pour servir et grandir avec les gens là-bas jusqu'à ce que Christ m'appelle à la maison pour être avec lui pour toujours. C'est avec un monde de cœur lourd que je dis être prudent ce que vous voulez et faites attention à ce que vous appelez votre église maison car malheureusement, c'était presque mon église maison jusqu'à ce que tout cela soit tombé. Je crains que cette église ne marche assez étroitement vers l'église baptiste Cherydale, l'église biblique Immanuel et l'église biblique mccléenne qu'elle est un peu différente mais pas beaucoup. Aussi, une dernière chose si je voulais reccomer cette église au monde. Je dirais que c'est un sac mixte car je suis membre et je peux toujours assister de mon choix, ce qui est unique contrairement aux autres que j'ai été aussi. Cependant, le mauvais accueil froid et le manque de structure et la gestion de mauvaise communication forte de la direction qui m'ont forcé à aller de l'avant et regarder ailleurs tout en affaiblissant le monde de mon honnête honnête Chrétien français revue de cette église en effet. C'est triste de dire que cette direction de l'église m'a échoué, et il en est de même pour beaucoup d'autres dans de nombreuses églises similaires à celle-ci. If you have dedicated your life to God and you want to understand exactly what the Bible is telling you, then Burke Community Church is the place you want to be. This non-denominational church is about following what the Bible says, not what we would like it to say. Every Sunday the Bible is examined as a deep study involving an understanding that goes back to original language interpretation. You don't need to know Hebrew or Greek because Pastor Marty is well versed in the language and grammar. He will bring out the scripture and through God you will gain a greater understanding. This church will never warp or distort scripture but will instead work hard at bringing out the true meaning as it is written and not as we wish it was written. The entire staff at the church always tries to hold themselves to a higher standard. You know you are hearing the word of God not the word of man. Whoever serves [the congregation] is to do so as one who serves by the strength which God [abundantly] supplies, so that in all things God may be glorified [honored and magnified] through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 4:11 AMP "Not many [of you] should become teachers [serving in an official teaching capacity], my brothers and sisters, for you know that we [who are teachers] will be judged by a higher standard [because we have assumed greater accountability and more condemnation if we teach incorrectly]." James 3:1 AMP I have personally seen God work great things in my life as I take the teachings I get from this church into my heart. Not a fan of the Pastor. I left McLean bible church when Lon Solomon left and was looking for a new church. i attended roughly 10 times and each time I left feeling uneasy about the delivery from the Pastor. He tends to remind the congregation of his credentials and his masters degree at EVERY sermon, as if he is the know all, amongst many other pats on the back. Too arrogant for my liking. I just found a great new smaller church, Grace Bible church in Lorton. Very much the sense of community I'm looking for and a Pastor who is humbled. Great messages every week. read more

Amazing church. Pastor Marty preaches sound doctrine! He goes word for word in the Bible translating from the Greek and using adjectives to help us better understand the meaning. The worship music is also amazing! Children's ministry is one of the best. My nephew visited one week and gave his life to Christ! read more

Burke Community Church provides a wonderful worship experience. They are a non-demonational Christian Church offering multiple worship services on Sunday. Typically I attend the 8:15am as its not crowded with plenty of parking. One time I attended the 9:30am service and was shoulder to shoulder with other churchgoers. The pastor mostly references the New Testament during his sermons. His delivery is friendly with a sense of humor. I find the sermons easily relatable to everyday life. The church has revamped its appearance with excellent sound, lighting, and upstairs balcony seating. They offer complimentary coffee before and after service. The choir group is actually preparing to record a Christian CD as well. Given my worship experience here, I'll definitely come back for a future visit. Hallelujah! read more

Excellent teaching of the word. The church has outgrown the building that it's in because of those that are hungry for the teaching, fellowship and communion that they give and receive. Because of it the parking gets tight at times, but there is a metro bus lot nearby with shuttles to the church. Many of those that are scheduled to support the church in the band, ushers, and others use the shuttle to free up parking spaces for visitors. There are Men's breakfasts and outings, women's studies, small groups, teen groups, and lots of children's activities, to name just a few, that are all Christ centered. read more

A friend recommended BCC to me. I'm grateful he did. The congregation was very welcoming from Day 1. The pastors are very involved and extremely knowledgeable and accessible. They've (BCC) adapted to the COVID restrictions and have created quite a library of sermons, bible study etc. on their website and a livestream on Sunday's. Hope to see you there! read more

My history with Burke is in a few services 10 years ago when I stayed with my daughter for two weeks. The welcome to visitors who sat in the front was warm from the stage and those sitting nearby. The sermons were deep and thought-provoking as well as having application to my life. Fast forward 9 years my husband and I had the special opportunity to join a tour to Israel with Pastor Marty whose knowledge of God's Word is truly only equaled by a handful of others I have heard, such as R. C. Sproul and Chuck Swindoll, and a tour guide who fully understood the Jewish, Christian and Muslim traditions, beliefs and meaningfulness of prized sites. Having seen the Jezreel Valley where Christ, the angels and the Church ride through to Jerusalem at the End of Days, I have become very interested in the Revelation Study Pastor Marty gives in person and live streaming and receive immense respect for the years of study Pastor has put into his understanding of this usually very hard to understand book. He is able to make it clear and beyond meaningful to believers. Pastor's background in Greek and Hebrew grammar allows him to understand the truth of each statement. Therefore, he is gifted in being able to put it into common the English language for believers who find comfort in knowing Jesus more fully because it is ALL about JESUS. The plain sense makes sense to me; therefore, I will seek no other sense. Pastor Marty is man of logic, intelligence, and strong biblical knowledge. He is a true follower of Christ that loves the sinner, but does not feel we must accept or promote the sins. He has been attacked for his stance on transgenderism by a small group in Fairfax county that have an agenda to teach all children in school about a single way of thinking about transgenderism. Pastor Marty's strong viewpoint against transgenderism (using logic, science, and finally the Bible) is frowned upon by this group without reason. If he called the LGBT "evil", it was because they attacked the character of a great man rather than allow his dissenting view against encouraging and promoting transgenderism in young children in school. If you believe that Jesus loves the sinner, but not the sin. This is the church for you. If you need a church that tries to use the Bible to justify LGBT, there are many others in Fairfax that you can attend. read more

Not sure what these 1 star reviews are for? If you've ever met Marty Barker then you know how much he cares for his sheep! He pours his life into his ministry all for Christs name sake. When we were new to the church and to the state of Virginia he went out of his way to connect us with another young married couple at the church. That connection led to the church starting a young marrieds life group with a few other couples who have now become our great friends. I cannot attest to the LGBT email and sermon from a few years ago but I can say that we are currently going through a sermon series about the topic. His entire message is about reaching the LGBT community with love, grace and truth!!! BCC may not be the church for everyone. If it's not that's totally okay! I do want to encourage you to listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead you to your church family. We are all a part of the body! read more

I absolutely love Pastor Marty's teaching style. He is very well educated and can back up everything he preaches. His education and language skills speak for themselves. He researches the scriptures he is speaking on in the original text since he speaks the language! I don't know many pastors who can do that. Pastor Marty interprets the Bible straight from Hebrew or Greek with all the grammatical nuances and cultural background needed to truly understand the words, aka hermeneutics and exegesis. He also teaches apologetics. His sermons are full of real life application, personal experiences and humor, lots of humor. The youth department is too big for my 17 yo son's social preference, but he does not want to give up Pastor Marty's sermons. read more

Burke Community Church has been and is a wonderful church home for those interested in truly being equipped to share God's word with our culture and to make disciples for God's Kingdom. When you attend you feel the love of God. Praise and worship is fantastic. Pastor Marty Baker is the real deal. He is a Hebrew and Greek scholar, trained in apologetics and wonderful teacher. He carefully opens God's word a verse at at time, showing how to apply its teachings in our everyday lives. He addresses the issues plaguing our culture and our nation head-on. The church has a very active and robust men's ministry, women's ministry and children's ministries all with solid teaching. Above all, the church is a praying church. This church is full of kind people who love God and love others. The services each Sunday are worshipful and the music helps me connect with God. The teaching is straight from the Bible. For the children in our family, BCC has been nothing short of amazing. The student ministries are the strongest in the whole NOVA area, and the kids are loved on and challenged to grow. Great church! Solid teaching based on the Bible not cultural trends. Pastor Baker is funny, practical and didactic at the same time. Bible teaching church. The senior pastor teaches the Bible and applies it to our lives. We are getting spiritually fed for the whole week. The worship pastor is godly and talent. He drives the worship in a way that prepares our head to hear the works of God. The people and welcoming, warm, supportive in ways I haven't seen much before. The children program is incredible! The curriculum is god centered, fun, and helps them to remember the stories and the Bible verses taught. Amazing youth program and brought many to the Lord. Opportunities for EVERYONE no matter what your walk in life was or is. The church is growing rapidly that they had to start building again to accommodate the number of worshippers desiring to join. Really decent place with warm people that truly care about people, especially kid. I have only visited a few times but it was a welcome relief after visiting another local church. Having just moved here we were worried about finding a church to replace the one we loved back home. This might be it, even though the music is a bit loud. read more
