This place plays phone games! They put you on hold forever then before 5pm they will make your call go to voicemail! They have no phone customer service or etiquette! I had a first appointment in April as a cash patient, since I have only ex-pat catastrophic health insurance. Dr. Zhao checked my ear since I had issues with it and the ear was clear. He then asked me to get a number of tests done, monitor my blood pressure 3 x a day for three weeks and record it, and then come again. First visit was $250. Then I had my second appointment in mid June. Dr. Zhao came in and told me that he does not accept cash patients and refused to help me. He made vague statements that cash patients often don't do preventative care. Well, I was there and willing to pay for preventative care. For example, I just got my latest COVID shot and also my RSV shot. For the record, there was no issue with my initial $250 payment. So net-net, I got minimal treatment and wasted lots of time. If you are looking for a green card medical examination, DO NOT come to this place. The doctor running this business appears to have two offices and are only in this location four hours a week.The receptionist is extremely unprofessional and very difficult to work with. I have to come back couple times and takes days off from my regular job to complete the whole process. I do not recommend this place. read more

Yes folks, this is the Burlingame Pacifica Medical Group, Doctors Darling, Fisher, and Taradash. I have been seeing Dr. Fisher now for about 20 years. He's also my father's doctor, was my mother's doctor, and is now my wife's doctor. Just good, solid service--simple, and no-nonsense. I've gone to other doctors about health issues to find that they just didn't know their stuff. I come back to Dr. Fisher, and he's got a handle on it--either referring me to someone else whose great, or by giving me a prescription that does the trick. This is a doctor to keep--highly recommended. read more

I saw Dr's Taradash and Darling for 25 years. Dr. Taradash has passed away, Dr. Darling has retired. The practice seems to have been purchased by a group in San Francisco and the standard of care has dropped dramatically. I went in to get a refill of two prescriptions I have been on for 25 years, saw a Dr. Liu. He seemed very nice and refilled my prescriptions. When I called the pharmacy three months later they said the office said I had to go in again. OK. This time (surprise) I saw a Dr. Zao who proceeded to lecture me, in broken English, about how to take these drugs, I had been taking for many years. (The main thing is no alcohol, which is common sense.) He said it was a "regulation" that I go to the hospital for blood work and that I "SIGN A CONTRACT" promising to tell them everything I take, and take nothing else, and agree for additional blood tests at his demand. I have been a cop for 9 years and I know what some of the conditions of parole or probation are in Calif. and those 2 are always standard. I also knew there was no regulation requiring blood work or a "contract." I had to ask him three times before he finally told me the truth that they were some kind of "community regulation." Dr. Zao had been lying to me. I told him there was no way I would be treated like a common criminal by the Medical Group. I then left. Later that afternoon I called to make an appointment with Dr. Liu because I felt I had gotten hooked up with Zao by mistake, and Dr. Liu did seem nice. The appointment was made, but I cancelled later when I received a call again demanding a contract and blood work. I must say that when I was in the office on a Wed. morning there was absolutely no other patients in the office, the phones never even rang. I don't know how much those two paid for the practice, or what their rent is, but I doubt they're going to be around much longer. Dr. Zao will have some time to take English lessons. I asked the next Dr. I saw about this "community regulation" regarding a contract and blood work and she said she had never heard of that. read more

Moved here 4 months ago and needed to find a good dr. I was immediately impressed with Dr. Fisher. He listened to me and genuinely cared he spent over an hour with me on my first visit. It doesn't take long to see that he keeps up on treatment protocols and new research. The girls in the office call you back when they say they will and have all been very pleasant. You won't find better on the peninsula. read more
