While at the stazione, we decided to skip all the other bars and come into this one for a quick…read morecornetto e cappuccino. It looked so amazing that we decided to walk in. We were immediately greeted and proceeded with our orders: 2 cappuccini e 2 cornetti.
You have to know that I LOVE chocolate, especially Nutella, especially in Italy. What Italian doesn't love Nutella after all? So of course, my cornetto was a Nutella filled one, just like I specified to the kind girl working there.
So I grab my cornetto alla "Nutella" or so I thought..and went to the counter to wait for my hot cappuccino. I emphasize on the hot since it was a FREEZING day. So that's what you'd expect lol, a HOT cappuccino. Welp...let's just say the only hot part in it was my coffee sitting in the bottom of the cup. As soon as I took a sip, the milk was cold!! I kindly mentioned to the barista the situation. He got a little bothered and with my same cup grabbed it and took it to the steamer (yes, same cup that I was just sipping on with the same drink in it) and passed it right back to me. It sure was warm this time, however, not creamy like you'd expect a delicious cappuccino to be...anyways, enough about that!
So now, after being a little upset about the cappuccino, I decide to take a bite of my delicious cornetto with Nutella. One bite ::: mmm so soft and spongy ::: two bites ::: hey, where's the Nutella? :::
::: gets to the chocolate part ::: and it was not Nutella. It was chocolate cream! And then you wonder why I have trust issues? I was deceived by ordering a Nutella cornetto and getting a chocolate cream instead. It's not the same! ::: face palm :::
Yep.. I've just overpaid my cappuccino and cornetto to only dislike both, equally. Bottom line: not a fan of this bar, it's not the best in the world. Just seems a bit overrated for me. You can skip this one and try the other 1,000 bars in Milano.
