This was quite an experience. I went on a whim with a female friend of mine that had been going for a year or so. Cardio is kind of my thing when it comes to working out. I find flexibility and strong cardio make me a better "intimate" partner. I think more people should keep this in mind... The class was about forty five minutes and started slowly then moved on to more rigorous routines. It's a very friendly and supportive environment that I really enjoyed. You can stop or slow down anytime you need to. The instructor, a very fit woman, was encouraging but never condescending or aggressive. I left sweating and tired. It was a really good way to start the day. I don't know the cost as my girlfriend either paid for me or used a guest pass of some kind. I was excited to try this place, but it was difficult to contact them. They never returned my voicemails, and were closed the two mornings I stopped by during the open hours printed on their door. I ended up texting that phone line and someone texted back that I could come to a free class. I showed up at the agreed upon time, but the instructor hadn't known to expect me. He said few words to me while I signed a liability waiver. I explained that I'd had surgery to reattach my biceps 8 months ago, so I wanted to be careful with that arm. He shrugged and said, "You'll be alright." As the class got going, I didn't know what was going on or what station to go to. He put us in two groups but there were lots of stations all around, so I just floated aimlessly, trying to do the exercises. After class, I walked over to ask him about membership since I still didn't know costs. He ushered me out the door saying, "Get some rest!" So that was that. No follow up. Ummm, okay. read more

Amazing workout in a group setting and individualized training at the same time!! These trainers are amazing and always give the best modifications to truly customize the workout to fit your workout level. I love how they encourage you to challenge yourself but don't make you feel bad like some other gyms I've been to if I'm having an "off" day and don't feel like going all the way. All the trainers are attentive and helpful, even to those who are just starting their workout journey and are apprehensive ( me ‍!) I actually enjoy working out now and want to go to camp every day. I can not recommend Burn Boot Camp Bear Creek enough! I am not a "gym" person, but I very quickly came to LOVE this place! The workouts are always challenging for whatever level of ability or fitness you might be, and the coaches give you modifications up or down on all of the exercises to fit your ability. Every day is a different workout working a different muscle group and even 9 months in, I have yet to get bored nor repeat an exact routine! They post the week's schedule at the beginning of each week so you can plan which days are the best for you to attend. The workouts are in a group setting and it's always a really encouraging and positive atmosphere, but not in a cheesy way and no one is pretentious either. One of the reasons I fell in love with Burn is because of the community aspect of it! Also, the trainers are awesome! Delain, Jasmyne, and Amy are all so great! They push you and encourage you to do your best and get stronger! They offer free one on one focus meetings whenever you want to go over your goals and nutrition and whatever else you need help or encouragement with on your fitness and health journey. (It's also not required for those who would rather not.) Also, I have 3 kids and I've always felt completely safe and comfortable with the childcare offered. I also don't believe my kids have ever come away from Burn sick. They are very thorough and careful with their cleaning and sick kid policies. (especially during covid). Things look different working out in person now with Covid, but the team at Burn has been AMAZING at adapting to regulations and also still making Burn a fun and awesome place to exercise! I won't go into all the details of what they're doing to keep things covid-safe...you can reach out to them if you have questions but just know that this team goes above and beyond in everything they do! I can honestly say I've never enjoyed a gym as much as I enjoy Burn! Classes are led by trainers - a different workout every time. It's designed so that you could go 6 days a week if you want to. The coaches are AMAZING. They always have adaptations for exercises if you need them and they're encouraging and kind and fun. I've never felt intimidated at this gym - there's people of all ages and sizes and ability levels and everyone is in it together. 2 weeks free to try it out was a huge plus when I was shopping gyms. read more
