Burnaps is always great! Fabulous staff, plenty of parking, and so many options from the lunch menu. The store offers so many locally made items, fresh produce, and baked goods. The smell is amazing. Hours are limited so make sure you check before you go. It's a must when in Sodus. Also be prepared that the wait is super long. Would prefer it to be quicker for takeout. Also a bit disappointed in my fries. I waited 40 minutes for my order, so I expected blazing hot fries. Unfortunately, they were mildly warm at best. read more

We visited for some produce and Gifford's Ice Cream- the peanut butter pie flavor was super yummy! Local produce and crafts. Friendly staff along with climbable displays (truck and train), and chicken (one duck) coop and goat pen with feed available to give to them. A pumpkin patch was flourishing right out front too. Oh my what a gem! Ride my bike from Webster and will make it a regular ride from Chili to eat more of the food! We shared the Mediterranean Sandwich with a Greek Salad. It was the best veggie sandwich I have ever eaten at a restaurant, they have the freshest ingredients! The pesto spread was delicious and the sunflower bread was so moist and hearty, it held its own compared to the veggies! The salad was just as fresh and crisp with a wonderful dressing. Don't overlook Burnap's as a restaurant destination. Sure they have the best produce you will find in the region, but they also make excellent gourmet soups, sandwiches, pizzas, and salads. There are two dining areas at Burnap's. The first is a two tiered deck that overlooks their fields and a children's play area. The second is Adirondack chairs and tables on the lawn. If you want a special treat during berry season, buy some blackberries and/or raspberries from the fruit stand. Next, go to the ice cream window and buy a scoop of either hard or soft vanilla ice cream. Have the server put your scoop in a larger sundae bowl. Take the berries and ice cream to a table and combine. It is the best sundae you will ever eat. Their soup and and half sandwich combo is a good deal because you get to taste their wonderful soups and enjoy their gourmet sandwiches. I like sprouts on my cold sandwiches, but I rarely order them because the sprouts at most restaurants are rarely fresh. The sandwich sprouts at Burnap's are always fresh tasting and crunchy. I also like having a wide choice of free additions to my sandwich. Brunap's offers lettuce, tomato, onion, pepper, cucumber, sprouts, artichoke hearts, hot pepper, black olives, dill pickles. If I had one criticism of Burnap's it would be concerning the bakery items they offer in the market. The breads served in the restaurant are excellent and wholesome. The bakery items in the market don't match the high quality standards set throughout the rest of the establishment. Everything that Burnap's does they do better than almost everywhere else in the region. The look and the feel of the market and the restaurant is in that happy place between a farm field, a market, and a gourmet restaurant. First of all we always enjoyed stopping in and buy fruit and veggies they have a really nice selection. Yesterday that sort of all changed. We stopped by to grab a some things and I saw the pies. They not only sell whole pies but half ones too. I found an Apple pie and noticed it had bugs or flies inside the package. I took the package to the young lady at the register and asked showed her the what was inside. She opens the package and let the flies out and closed it back up. I politely asked if they had any more out back that they could cut in half she said she would check. She went out back and came back and answered no that that was the only one left. I decided to take a pass on the pie but the young lady proceeded to put the pie I had given her with the bugs on back on the shelf. I said are you really going to put that back out for sale again and she said oh yeah. This happens all the time. I just shook my head put everything back and left. On August 31 we visited Burnaps Farm. We enjoyed a nice lunch however we bought an apple-cranberry pie and some apples. I cut into the pie that night, and found it moldy right under the top crust. I contacted them through their web site with this problem but never received a response. If this is how they do business I will not recommend them to anyone. We live about an hour away so i could not return it. Their apples were over priced and had spots on them. They would have been sold as seconds at the Apple Shed. read more

The best produce in the county, no question. Worth a little bit of a drive for their unsurpassed corn, tomatoes, berries, and lettuce mix (and apples, later in the summer... whatever is in season), not to mention delish ice cream and salads.
