There is one room open with some books but no chairs or tables and that's it. I suppose they have their reasons but closing for so long when it's regularly over 100 degrees and not having any place for someone to sit in a cool, quiet place and read is just so negligent.

It was so wonderful that we came back the next rainy day. The librarians were so friendly and generous. They have dozens of puzzles for infants through older kids (with no missing pieces!) and a large area mat for building them; Tinker Toys; Legos; board games like chess, Monopoly and Scrabble; crayons and paper; and a large children's book section. For out-of-towners, they have sections of honor" books which you can borrow without a card. And they have some books/magazines for sale and some for free as well (the local bookstore appeared to be closed down when we were here, so this is a helpful option). If you and your family need an indoor escape, come here!

Printing is 10cents a page. They also have free wifi for your own electronic device. Most books, CDs, and DVDs are renting in a. 2 week loan. However, there are many books, especially textbooks, you can only have for 2 hours at a time. I love going hear just to get away from it all.

Run by volunteers and built with donations. Cottonwood Community Library holds their preschool storytime each Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Stories are read, songs are sung, and a craft or related activity follows. I have been impressed with all this little library has to offer. There are a bunch of free…read morecomputers for use (as many available as I've seen in bigger county libraries) and printing is cheaper than my college offered in their computer labs. The children's room is spacious and my son loves playing with the toys and puzzles while I look for books. A couple features that are constantly growing are their DVD collections and the teen area. In a community where teens need all that can be offered, this is a small blessing. While the book areas are smaller, there is still a wide variety available and the people who work/volunteer there are always eager to help you.
