It is also one of the older stations in Melbourne, which I have to admit is pretty cool. However, the one issue that I do have with it is the complete lack of facilities. It is pretty close to some decent places, but it would be nice if it actually had a restroom.

However, the new station is quite nice, and they needed to do it to remove the level crossings. Trains do regularly come through here, but the other thing is that they have restrooms as well, something that tends to be missing from the older stations. Like, it is fancy, and modern, but it Park would have been nice to keep the old station building as well.

I was simply going to write about how this is a pretty horrid looking station, and that it is…read morefalling apart and from an era where form follows function, and that the only good thing about it is that it has public toilets, but I can't do that anymore because they have since knocked it down. The reason being is that the intersection was one of Melbourne's worst, so they finally decided to get rid of it by elevating the railway above it, and in turn completely reconfiguring the station. So, it now looks so much better, much more modern, and still has toilets. Oh, and there is quite a lovely plaza at the base, so yeah, they have finally gotten rid of that travesty of a station and replaced it with something much, much better.

However this one is now much better, and not only has a decent waiting room, but also has restrooms, as well as being staffed. Oh, and it is also quite accessible.

However, it is pretty close to the shops and there also happens to be a bus interchange here, which is actually quite useful. Sure, it isn't one of the fanciest stations out there, but it is practical, which I suspect was the point of it all.
