This is particularly true if you shop on the day after deliveries. It is not true if you are shopping on Sunday and on other occasions when they are unaccountably out of everything. Their assortment of premade arrangements is abysmal, unimaginative and expensive. They do not ever seem to have exotic flowers such as proteas, gerbera daisies, bear grass, freesia, etc. If you buy flowers here, make sure the ones you select have not been in dry or dirty buckets. I frequently see wilted bunches as well as plants that are dead or dying. So it is not a sure thing but it is so much better than other grocery stores and downtown florists who don't even display single stems or bunches. And are close lipped about on hand merchandise that seems to be frequently old. This is just my experience. Overall I can usually make a lovely vase arrangement for $30 or less with flowers that will last a week or 10 days. I think the biggest problem for Schnucks is that there is no floral designer/manager, just an overburdened employee from another department who struggles to do the best she can
