This was local gem that we frequented quite regularly. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Part of the reason we kept going. The first handful of times we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and live put into the food. We noticed after a year or so that the quality of the food was starting to decline. My husband loved their Bronzino. It was always cooked with care and was delicious. The last few times he ordered it, it came out greasy and slightly undercooked. He enjoyed eating the crispy well seasoned skin, but not the last few times. It was wet. He actually sent it back to the kitchen the last time we went there and got a pasta dish instead. We loved the creativity of the food and the care in preparation but stopped going because the creativity and the caring food preparation seemed to have stopped. Still love the staff!! read more

They sat me down at a table near the kitchen and offered me a beverage asked if I needed anything and communicated the entire time with updates about my food. Really solid and one of the best options for Italian in the burbs. Always popular and quite crowded, this place has been received very well in a location that has historically been very difficult to sustain. The fact that this place has succeeded where many have failed is a testament to the quality of their food. I guess if you make good authentic food and treat people well you will have success and location is less important. With difficult parking this place has overcome and proven it's clearly worth the trip! Very refreshing and light and delicious is how i would describe their fare. It's not your typical slop a huge pile of red sauce and pasta type of Italian but rather a sophisticated and well plated, finish in one sitting kind of meal. Appropriate portions and fresh food. After trying 7 or 8 items on the menu everything has been good and worth getting again so go with your guy on what to order and you'll likely be pleased. Apps Mussels with Chorizo were great, good flavor although bread seems a bit stale. Had some very deep flavors going on with it that were great, and it was quite salty. My GF ordered a pesto dish and got a dish with red sauce instead. Was not at all good- we could have whipped it up on the stove ourselves wag easier, better and cheaper unfortunately. The prices are the killer here. $40+ for 2 small entrees and a side of foccacia. Yikes! If it was half the price I would add a star, but this food does NOT warrant such a high price tag. Overall would not return. Not worth the hole in your wallet. Not my cup of tea. read more

We had been hearing about Burrata from friends and finally decided to give it a try. Simply put, it was the best meal I have had from a restaurant in Havertown in 20 years. I started with a veal carpaccio and then went to a special tortellini filled with Osso Bucco. The presentation was first rate, the portion was generous and the taste was phenomenal. My wife started with the grilled octopus, cooked precisely, and followed with the pappardelle. Both were presented like fine dining; but, within a comfortable and less formal environment. Really good dining experience in the suburbs! It is a smaller menu, but there were still several items that we were interested in trying. Huge plus that it is BYOB. We went out for date night and had 2 apps - the burrata and the mussels (a special that night), I had the wild boar pasta and my boyfriend had the lobster spaghetti. We ended the night sharing the limoncello cake. Everything tasted really good - the pasta is clearly homemade. The restaurant is very small, I would only go here with parties of 2 - 4, but the service and food were great! All of that cost under $100. Some people may find that to be overpriced, but after dining in the city for so many years, we thought it was fairly priced. read more

I love burrata in Philly but with the recent shutdowns we came to the Havertown location to be able to eat inside! The restaurant was so cute inside, lots of greenery. The staff was super helpful and attentive, we never had to ask for our waters to be refilled. The food was delicious. We started with the gnocchi app which was good but the gnocchi was a little to big for my liking. For entrees we got the squid ink pasta with shrimp and crab and it was so good we were licking the plate. We also got branzino, I'm not a fish person and I ate the whole thing. It was so crispy, buttery but not dry. For desert we got tiramisu that was also amazing. Overall I can't wait to come back to this place again!!! read more

Wow I was so impressed by Burrata! Came for a date night dinner. Their outside seating is off on a side street, so it's less crazy than right on Eagle (and nicely shaded). They have up some string lights and pump the music from inside so it makes for a nice atmosphere. I can be a bit of a pasta snob and was thrilled with their menu and with my truffle gnocchi!! My husband loved the lamb chops, and we split the burrata which was also amazing. At this point we figured we had to try dessert too, and the lemon mascarpone cake didn't disappoint. The final touch was a surprise glass of limoncello with the check. As far as service, waiter was laid back and not invasive, and the other staff we interacted with were warm and friendly. Overall a great experience and I'm thrilled to have this place just a few miles up the road. read more

AMAZING! 5 stars all around. The food, the service, the ambience, everything was perfection. From the appetizers to the specials, we were pleased with how good and delicious everything came out. I also want to point out how the serving size was on point. We did not feel stuffed. All the meals were measured so that you can enjoy each plate and are able to move on to the next with out feeling overwhelmed. I can't wait to visit again. My recommendations are the pasta options. We had a small afternoon reception for my newly married daughter and her husband this past weekend at Burrata Restaurant. It was a group of 40 some family members and friends. We could not have asked for a more beautiful reception. The restaurant looked timeless and elegant. The service from Andi and his staff was an A+. Burrata has been on our list of to-go places for a while now and after moving to the Main Line, we were so excited to see that one had opened so close to us! Our waitress was amazing, very spunky and personable with her suggestions and tableside manner. Of course we had to try the Burrata at Burrata and it did not disappoint! I did wish maybe they could put some olive oil on it too cuz the burrata seemed a bit plain without, but the balsamic was very well done and not at all bitter but more sweet. The special was amazing, the gnocchi was definitely made in house and large, not the cookie cutter gnocchi pieces. The dish came with 3 scallops and generous amounts of crab meat, it was definitely worth the $28 price point and the blush sauce was very flavorful. The $20 capellini dish is on their regular menu and also came in a blush sauce, though not nearly as flavorful and there were about 8 shrimps which was great but definitely less substance than the special. Came really hungry, left feeling very full because of how rich the food was. Free bread and olive oil/vinegar is served to start. Wish the prices were a little lower but I think it's priced that way because the dishes are comparable, if not better, to any Italian restaurant in Center City. read more

Highest praise for a post-COVID meal! Dave was our server and he was wonderful! My friend and I showed up a few minutes early for our reservation, and we were seated right away. We brought wine, were offered water choices, and had actual flatware, glasses, and plates! We split a Ceasar salad, my friend had the pasta with bolognese, and I told Dave was was told between the bolognese and the chicken Milanese. He described the chicken Milanese, and I was sold. It didn't disappoint! We also had the limoncello cake for dessert. Everything seemed very clean, flatware was hot, as if it were straight from the dishwasher, and menus were single-use! At a recent reunion with an old friend she suggested Burrata. I was early and it was almost empty so I got my choice of tables. The wait service was friendly and efficient but didn't push me as I waited for my friend. I ordered the wild boar ragú with pappardelle. As an appetizer i had the beet salad: disappointing and lacking flavor. However the ragu was wonderful: tasty, spicy and the pasta was just slightly chewy as it should be. Since it was a game meat it was appropriately seasoned with warm spices such as cinnamon and possibly juniper berries. Next time i go ( and i hope it is soon!) i will ask the server more questions about the ragu recipe. In all, a pleasant dinner with first class service and an interesting menu at a convenient " mainline adjacent" location. Highly recommended! read more

First visit and won't be last! Great attentive service, delicious food. For appetizers we ordered mushroom polenta, mussels, roast beet salad, and of course burrata with peppers and prosciutto. All fresh and delicious. Dinner we ordered salmon, scallops n risotto, special clams n linguine, and gnocchi to share. Big hits again. I especially liked the pillowy soft gnocchis. Was very excited to try Burrata! The food is very good- only thing I don't love is that is is very loud. They are working on it by adding panels on the ceiling which I am hoping will reduce the sound. Came with my girlfriends and it was difficult to hear those who were not immediately next to me. Servers are very nice! Wish they had a few more menu options and/or specials but they do the food they have very well which is better than a bunch of subpar food. Would give more of a 4.5 and DEFF would bump up once the sound issues are resolved. read more

We went to Burrata for the first time tonight and are so happy with our meal! Let me say I hate going out to eat for Italian food. Most places to me just aren't flavorful enough. We met here for a cousins dinner. We've been here many times under the previous owner. We have course ordered the Burrata, then could not have been more disappointed. Not creamy in the least, not flavorful even with the fig dressing and not what we had received under Kate and Vinnys supervision previously. Although there were only three tables it took us forever to receive our meals. The meals were delicious. I personally had the saffron risotto with the scallops and was very happy.Sister have the chicken Parm and also enjoyed that. We are two desserts. The lemon cello cake, which was light, flavorful and enjoyed by everyone who tried it. We also ordered the crème brûlée, which came with a very thick and Burnt sugarcoating. It's hard to write a place when they're such variability in the service and also in the quality of food. Although it's convenient for us to meet in Havertown, we all decided that we would not be returning. Sorely disappointed. I cannot say enough about this restaurant and Andy, the manager. I hosted a birthday luncheon event there for 45 people. Start to finish, it was perfect! The table configuration was well thought out. The food was excellent: mixed meat and cheese platter, mussels appetizer, entrees: Orchiette pesto, chix Picatta, and salmon. I received compliments throughout the event. I brought a cake, which was served with their gelato. Service was exceptional. Andy really went beyond to help accommodate my requests. I look forward to an evening there again, soon. read more
