    Quattro Formaggi with bacon
    Douglas H.

I had two pizzas at this excellent establishment, over two days. One was hands-down fabulous. The other also remarkable. First visit: Pizza Alla Diavola an absolute gem. Luscious tomato sauce accented by meaty tang & spice from just the right amount of three delicious sausages, accented by creamy mozzarella. Really a perfect pizza. Delicious ingredients, perfect balance, and melty soft in the center. Second visit: wondering what to get, and the table next to me had the Prosciutto e Funghi (which was loaded with prosciutto but not so much sauce), the Carbonara (which was an ocean of cream and egg - - it looked big time heavyweight - - and she could not finish it), and the Quattro Formaggi, which also looked loaded with cheese. I got the Quattro Formaggi, with the additional bacon. This pizza was indeed an ingredient bomb. A sea of cheese, so much so that it seemed to all blend together. Covered with strip after strip of bacon. Both pizzas were superbly crafted, using fine ingredients. The Alla Diavola was classic neapolitan, the proportions all perfect - - dreamworthy. The pizzas the second night were of another order - - huge quantities of ingredients, and extemely 'rich', which, I imagine, also satisfies a particular clientele, though for me, it's more brushstrokes of artistry that satisfy. Fantastic pizzeria. Top-drawer ingredients, creativity and art in production, great people & service, pleasant interior. It would be really hard for me to find a reason to eat anywhere else in Waterford.

Crispy mozzarella balls with a rich tomato sauce and pesto (left) and Margherita pizza with ham (right)

I came here the other night for dinner with my husband and another couple and we had a pretty good experience! It was a cute, clean, and well-decorated restaurant. The ambiance was nice--a bit trendy, but casual. My husband and I started off with the "Crispy Mozzarella Balls" served with a rich tomato sauce and pesto. These were quite delicious. The cheese was very fresh and the mozzarella balls weren't too greasy. It was good. For my entree, I had a Margherita pizza with ham and I thought it was quite good! The crust was nice (I prefer thinner, but everyone has a different preference) and the flavor was great. It was a generous portion and it definitely hit the spot. The prices were a little on the pricier side, but weren't too bad. The service was pretty good too. They were there for everything we needed. Overall, we had a nice experience. The restaurant was cute, clean, service was pretty good, prices weren't bad, and the food was good. I would definitely recommend Burzza!

BEST PIZZA EVER!!! Will you believe me if I told you I had the best pizza here which had no red sauce or mozzarella cheese on it? Well it did! It's called " Jamie's Pizza" and it has caramelized onion, goat cheese, arugula and goat cheese shavings!! Best pizza ever. Their crust is great and the flavors combine to give to this symphony in our mouth. If you are a person who likes goat cheese this pizza is the place for you. They are also known for their " Burzza" which is a burger Pizza. My friends thought it was good. They put a burger patty on the crust and fold it over to form a calzone. So it is a burger pizza. Their dipping sauces are great too.

Nice spot. Friendly. Pizza was good(bread was soft and sauce was tasty)Tiramisu was good as well.

Possibly the best burger I've ever had! Loved that the fries were in a bucket, excellent presentation! This American was impressed!

I ate here on my study abroad trip this summer with about 8 or 10 other college students and it was a hit for all of us! As an American, we are used to all paying separately, but that is not custom in Ireland. We made the request and they gave us no trouble at all! I ordered a burger and it was THE best burger I've ever had in my life! It was stuffed with cheese inside of it! And the fresh lettuce and sun dried tomatoes topped it off perfectly. This was the first time I had fries in a bucket, which seemed to be a trend. I found it adorable! We stopped by on a Sunday evening after coming back from a day long field trip. It was raining and we were starving and confused as to where to go since it was only our third day in the country. So glad we came in and that it was not busy, considering the time I assume!

Fantastic! My wife & I had a night in Waterford, and heard this was a good spot. Wow, is that…read moreright! We ate on the late side, and both ordered from the "early bird" (prix fixe) menu. I had the Irish steak & she had the hake. Both were excellent! For dessert the creme brûlée was great, as was the "exotic financier" (a coconut sponge cake). The atmosphere is cozy & romantic. Only complaint was the service was a bit slow, but we ate late and have American ideas in a European place. Highly recommended if you want a great meal in Waterford!

Considering this is often regarded as one of, if not the best, fine dining restaurant in Waterford,…read moreI found the food to be pretty mediocre and underwhelming. I ordered the "Early bird" three course menu for ~29€ which I hope would not affect their usual quality. I started with a creme broulee of crab, intrigued by the fact a creme broulee could be served as a savory starter. It was fine, pretty standard fare but really nothing distinctive. For the main course, I had the steak (which was 4€ extra) and that was honestly pretty disappointing. It came in what I can only describe as gravy. The slab of meat, while cooked to a medium-rare as I requested, was soggy and over-tenderized and when drenched in that sauce just all went down like a heavy soup. Taste was fine but there was just too much gravy-sauce! My friend had the chicken and she wasn't impressed either. In a turn of redemption, we reluctantly ordered dessert after probably being way too full and it turned out to be the best course. The sablé was fluffy, light, and just delightful when paired with a scoop of sorbet (it was to come with vanilla but we are partial to a more tart flavor profile so we asked them to give us sorbet instead). Very nicely presented and the acidity helped us round out the meal. Overall, I found food to be pretty mediocre and the service to be acceptable...(they asked us if we were ready to order probably about 5 times despite the fact that we had our menus open and was obviously reading it but otherwise it was fine). I'll just also add that I am a visitor to this lovely town so perhaps I am not attuned to the Waterford palette but I was personally not impressed.
