There are a variety of mixed opinions on this salon; I shall start by giving you mine but not skimping out on what I've heard on the street.
Before my friend became a hairdresser and I became her regular, I always came to Busby. I probably started going there when I was about 14 and they always treated me with the utmost respect, even when I came in on my own. I would ask them to skip all the fancy stuff, like blow-drying, because I couldn't afford it at that age but they would often throw it in for free anyway.
They always listened very carefully to what I wanted and would help me find the perfect color. However, pretty much every time I was there so was the owner, Tim Findon.
He is pretty much the brains and artist behind the salon and many people say that when he is not there everything goes to shit. He travels a lot so it's no guarantee that he will be there so I guess it's a risk.
Personally, I have never had a bad experience there. It can be a bit pricey at times but that's the price for well-trained hairdressers. read more
