Bushman Accounting prepared our taxes in 2019 and before completing withdrew $700 from the wrong business account. After some disputes on fees and errors within the filings, I requested that he refund the $700, so I could properly pay him from the correct business account once the documents were updated, signed, and taxes filed. To date, I still have not seen a refund. read more

History

Established in 2013.

As a tax auditor for the State of Utah, I was able to see how businesses grow, develop and manage their operations. This also allowed me to see all different industries and gain a greater perspective on the regulations placed on businesses. After leaving the State, I spent two years at a CPA firm near Salt Lake City. After my Master's degree in Taxation and during my time at the State I also became a licensed investment advisor. This allowed me to become acquainted with the many areas of personal finance, insurance and investing. All these experiences prepared me to go out on my own and start Bushman Accounting. It has allowed me to offer my clients a wealth of knowledge in many areas of business ownership and finance.

Meet the Business Owner: David B.

I graduated from the University of Utah with a Masters Degree in Accounting with an emphasis in Taxation. I also attended Utah Valley University and graduated with a Bachelors in Accounting. I worked in the operations department for a local bank in Utah county for almost four years while attending college. Upon graduating with my masters degree I was hired as a tax auditor for the Utah State Tax Commission where I performed corporate tax reviews and audits for five years. After the state of Utah I worked in public accounting with a small CPA firm in the Salt Lake area for two years. These experiences have allowed me to have a greater perspective on the many regulatory requirements individuals and businesses owners face. My experience as a tax auditor gives me advanced knowledge as to what government agencies are looking for from bookkeepers, on a tax return and how to navigate government reviews and audits.

I've been using Bushman Accounting for a few years now and I don't think I'll ever go with anyone else. They've always provided sound advice and left me with many options on what would best benefit my current situation. Every year is different, and no matter if you have multiple business you're juggling, or if you have multiple investments, or if your a college student just working as a W-2, Bushman Accounting can find the best fit for you.
