The ambiance at Bushwhackers includes plenty of dancing, country music, some hip hop, and larger-than expected kitchen and bar menus! They have a shot on special every night and plenty of choices at the bar. The kitchen is a separate window in the saloon, and the printed menu has over a dozen options to choose from. I come for the dancing, and especially love the free Friday night lessons with Jordan! The drinks are better than expected--I get a Tito's mule every time and each bartender makes it perfectly. The only thing I wish they had more of was food that isn't fried--but to be honest their kitchen has more than similar bars. We enjoyed the outdoor Granary area that was celebrating BBQ, Bourbon & Beer with live music on stage. They had a lot of vendors selling BBQ that was really a big hit! Everyone wanted some, along with the bourbon sampling! This made for a fun fall evening outdoors with good food, good drinks and dancing. Inside Bushwhackers was open, serving drinks and offering line dancing. It would be nice to have a few other events during the spring & summer months. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! My friend got pulled out of the bar by his neck! When he asked why he had to leave they didn't give him a legitimate reason and insisted it was because he took a shot away from the bar??? Then when he was outside a difference guard was stating things like "I just have to listen to him because he's my superior". I came in here with a group on Sunday night and we had a blast! Typically when you go to club or dance spots, a lot of your experience depends on who you go with, so either I had a phenomenal group or Bushwackers was having a great night! The atmosphere is great, and the place was packed for a Sunday. Bushwackers has a walled in dance floor which can get a little crowded during line dances but most of the time there is plenty of space. There are two bars where you can grab drinks and the mechanical bull looked like a great time! There is a lot of two stepping here mixed in with line dancing and swing dancing and they have lessons on Wednesday and Thursday nights if you want to learn more about the different dances. It's not expensive to get in, and we really enjoyed our time together. It's also great to have the whole entire place singing their guts out to journey and nickleback at least once every night! We didn't get any drinks, so I can't speak for the service at all! Wins: fun environment Not expensive Plenty of drink options ... what else do you need? Not my favorite: I personally wish there were lessons everynight since I can't go during the week, but that's just because I'm learning! My wife and I stopped by excited to see a that Omaha had a line dancing place! We have been to many in Texas and really had a great time. The dance floor was a little small but the hall was really big. There was a $5 per person cover charge. We made our way to the bar and had two draft beers. The beer wasn't expensive. There was probably 30 people dancing already and everyone was having a great time. The beer was kinda terrible so I thought maybe it was the end of a tap keg and went up and asked for another. It too was terrible. Flat and kinda warm. We ended up switching to bottles instead. There was a huge section closed off for a party but we never saw them show up. We also thought there would be a band but it was a just the radio so we were a little surprised as to why we paid a cover charge. Overall it was fun but a little disappointing. The bartender explained the tap system wasn't working correctly and that why the beer was flat. If you order a uber it leads the driver to the back of the building even if you order it in the front parking lot we thought that was odd. read more

It was an amazing experience. The bar staff were very courteous and timely. The patrons were awful human beings and seemingly embraced this fact. The highlight of my visit was a delightful young man in a heavily lifted truck, who was clearly well endowed, smashing into a light pole. Being hailed by a police officer wasn't going to stop this champion of society from forgetting how breaks work, I tell ya. Despite cutting me off, he realized I needed to know how large his baby-maker was, and assured I'd have a great evening, by smashing into a streetlight while getting pulled over. 5 stars. read more

My party had no idea what this place was upon walking in, but had heard of it previously. A winding hallway down a flight of steps led us into a gorgeous bar with an outstretched wooden dance floor, beyond that, a lounge area with a second bar, smoke area, couches, and pool tables. The girls and I ordered the punch they had available, which proved itself to be delicious. Nothing particularly unique about the punch, it was a standard vodka & heavy, sugary cocktail juice (so you can't taste the alcohol, of course). No complaints here. We sat in the lounge area and our waitress, Jessica, was an absolute delight. Very knowledgeable and down to earth, communicative and upbeat. The staff offered to set up the mechanical bull after we expressed interest in riding it, and even gave us a discounted price. I had a fantastic time, the place was comfortable, clean and fun, without breaking much on my wallet. Even though I didn't last too long on the mechanical bull, I will definitely be back and totally recommend checking it out. read more

Went to see Jason Earl Band Friday 1-16-15, the place has been under new owns hip for some time now however, it's the same ole senior citizens hangout. Same slow tempo, no life in the run down joint. If ya manage to snake your way through all the old folks your sure to stand at the bar forever waiting for a beer due to understaffing. The band was great but the sound system seems old and antiquated. You can't understand the vocals but get pounder by the instruments. The speakers merely surround the dance floor. I love this place, some of us girls go for girls night out and nobody bothers you. Friendly people there, yes including the younger crowd are respectful and fun. I have so much fun there. I love it when the DJ is there he will play anything you want, cupid shuffle, electric slide, wobble ect plus your favorite country tunes. If you can't figure a dance out people are so friendly they will show you how its done. I truly recommend the place for a night of fun. We were picked out to pay the $3.00 cover charge. There wasn't any signage about cover charge. Other folks we knew didn't pay. The lady bartender was the money collector, bartender and DJ. the staff is not friendly. 9pm and maybe 20 people. The floor is rough with nails popping up. This use to have a great dance floor. I was visiting Omaha for a week and wanted to check out this place. Was there Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Both Friday and Saturday nights I requested a couple songs. Friday night the DJ didn't play my one song until my friend went and flirted with him and he finally played it. Saturday I requested 2 songs really early in hopes to hear at least one of them soon since the dance floor wasn't really hopping yet. He said he'll try to get to it when he could even tho no other requests were written on his request notebook. Many requests came and gone but mine. Finally 3 hours later I heard my request. We rented the entire Bushwackers saloon and dance hall for a graduation party. It's usually closed on Sunday so this worked out great. Food was catered leaving us no work to do to clean up, set up, or worry about little things. There was a wide range of things to do from billiards, darts, riding the electric bull, dancing, games, and plenty of room for the 76 guests who attended. Staff was courteous and willing to help us find a DJ at a reasonable price and also rented the place at a very reasonable rate per hour. There was a cash bar however we covered the cost of sodas and drinks for our party. Food was good and plentiful. I didn't get back to them promptly regarding the menu and even with this short notice everything was able to be accommodated quickly, efficiently, and without problems. There's a nice outdoor patio for the smokers to relax and easy side access for elderly who have difficulty with stairs. It is a great family venue for any type of occasion including birthdays, graduations, weddings anniversaries, or really any special occasion. The children were allowed to ride the electric bull after signing waivers and no one was injured. They also roamed freely and there wasn't anything that wasn't childproof. We brought in our own full sheet cake which staff kindly cut up for us and served. There was no need for decorations though I'm sure you could bring your own if you were willing to set up and take down. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great time and who does not want to worry about all the details of planning a party. Went to the back and was told that we couldn't be waited on because we weren't supposed to sit back there. I asked for a manager and after being yelled at by the bartender, I was approached by the owner that told me that she was also pissed off. She did give me my money back but we ran into people who we know and they bought tickets this morning and had front row seats. We were never told that we should reserve a table. This place is open again and under new ownership. It is a total hick bar, I am not a fan of country music but I can put up with it because the game room here is awesome! They have the biggest pool table I have ever seen: a regulation 6x12 snooker table. Good luck finding another one of these anywhere, they are popular in England but require so much room and lighting they are very hard to find. The table has eight legs, eight lights, and an eight-foot bridge stick for long shots! Not for the faint of heart, tremendous skill is required to play on this table. But don't worry, they have a handful of regular bar-sized tables to choose from, and they also have a unique L-shaped table, although it desperately needs new felt. They also have darts, shuffleboard, and huge dance floor if you want to learn how to square dance. Country western is the theme here, it's a good old fashioned saloon, but without the gunfights. One serious complaint: waitresses need to step it up. Why are you standing around chewing your nails while I dehydrate? It's a long trip to the bar from the game room, and I had to interrupt my game to fetch a $3.50 beer on several occasions. Other than that, a good time was had by all. read more

Got stuck with a cover charge right off the bat. No live music or specials going on to warrant a cover. To top it off I buy drinks all night. Leaving two bucks tip for each drink.
