The smaller airport so far for me to go through. Most planes coming though are small propelled planes. I only say Cebu, PAL and Skyjet that goes through here. To exit, there is a 100 php exit/departure fee. Make sure to have pesos with you! The airport needs upgrades especially the driveways but according to them, it has to be a request before election time to request it to be fixed. There is no AC but the fans working are so strong. It helped with the heat. The departure waiting area was small and only had a small souvenir and snack shop. Hopefully, your flights won't be delayed. The power even went out here a few time for a bit. The folks here don't smile either and are so grouchy. My dad lost his sunglass piece on the conveyer belt and they were not helpful - What so ever! At least, they provide an umbrella for each person when it's rains going to the plane. Make sure to listen to the announcements as their speakers are terrible for understanding what they say!! This was not my favorite part of my trip to/from Coron. [127/100]

Francisco B Reyes airport in Busuanga is where you would fly into when visiting Coron, Palawan. It…read moreis roughly a short (over 1+ hour) flight from NAIA (Manila Airport). This airport is small and has daily flight schedules from Manila to Coron and vice versa. Since the airport is small, the planes are also small as well with at least 2-3 gates in the terminal. The main airlines that fly through here are AirAsia, Cebu Pacific and PAL (Philippine Airlines). The runway is pretty short too so be prepared for quick takeoffs and whiplash inducing hard stops when landing. There are a decent number of restaurants (coffee shop, Chinese dim sum and a Jamaican patty restaurant) and at least 3 souvenir stores. My big gripe with this airport is that they seriously need to invest in air conditioning. Large fans just won't cut it especially during prime summer months. Check in with your specific airline what the baggage weight limit is. For domestic PAL flights the weight limit is 32 kg = 70 lbs per checked baggage. Check in and security was swift and we had settled in under 30 minutes.

From the air, I was shocked to see how tiny the landing strip was on the countryside. Thanks to our pilot, we arrived safely and deplaned onto the tarmac. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted inside the small lobby and directed to baggage claim. Before exiting, be ready with your cash/change, as you are expected to pay 100 pesos as an environmental fee. Outside, the parking lot is small, so there will be drivers asking what hotel you're staying at. Most hotels provide pick up service. It would be a good idea to pre-arrange your transportation. When we returned for our flight back to Manila, you'll approach customs immediately and then to your airline for check-in. It was quite a long line, so arrive early. There's a cute little cafe and souvenir shop, with an upstairs seating area. The coffee was wonderful and I also ended up buying a t-shirt further down for 300 pesos. Visiting Coron was one of the highlights of our 2.5 week stay in the Philippines. Highly recommend!
