I won't never bring stuffs to this place ever again. They told me that my jacket was going to be ready in a week which was Friday; after a week, I came to pick it up and was told that it was not done, then was told that it would be ready on Monday. then I got the text message asking to pick it up on Tuesday instead, because it was not done yet .... I gave it until Friday to come pick it up and assumed that it should have been done by then; but nope, still not done. What I needed was just some adjustments to the sleeves. read more

Busy Bee Tailor did an amazing job tailoring my wedding dress. I needed the straps shortened and the bottom of the dress hemmed. My dress was originally very simple one length with no train. When I took it in for tailoring, the were able to add a short train that really elevated the look of the dress. I absolutely loved it. They also were incredibly professional and punctual. I got a suite from a friend who worked at J Crew as a designer. The suit was free, but this also means it was not my actual size! I don't really like wearing suits, I feel modern suits never look good on any body except George Clooney! And I bet he has a tailor, to make that sharp cut look good! Yes I was in a wedding and I needed to wear that free suite I got, so we went to Busy Bee to get it to fit snug! I like my clothes to feel snug! The lady at Busy Bee, was great, she listened to what I wanted, put some pins in, made me turn around a few times! And then told me to come back in a week! Well, she actually got it done in 3 days, the suit fit great, and the wedding was a success! She made me comfortable both in the store and after, and made me feel like I was dressing for success! I got nothing on George Clooney, but then again, he probably didn't get his suit for free either! read more

Not a bad place. They are actually very nice people and do a good job. The only issue I had with this place is they quoted me a price for sewing a military insignia patch on my uniform for 2 and charged me a little more when picked up. I asked about it, and they just smiled and said yes yes. Yes what....thank you for stopping by. LOL I said ok and left....weird. Also, they probably should issue a receipt with price and a number for pick up. I did not get one, but they remembered who I was. I've never taken anything to any other tailor. This was actually the first tailor I've been to and I honestly don't see any reason to go anywhere else! She is truly great at what she does. I've had everything from a sequined evening gown altered to a couple ripped seams on some workout clothes taken care of. She meets the due date each time, and actually usually has it done a day or two before the deadline. I don't have any other place to compare to as far as quality and price, but as they say....if it's not broke, don't fix it. And if it's broke...well take it there :) read more

Completely unprofessional and work was not completed: I took 3 dresses in with over a week's notice and explained I needed them for an out of town dance competiton. We agreed on the day after work to pick them up and she wrote the day of pick up on the reciept. I showed up 1 hour before they closed and she had not even started them except to cut into 1. She then acted like I was at fault, telling me I could come back the next day, questioning repeatedly where I lived and why I was upset abot having to return, and asking why I could not have my husband come get them the following day. Absolutely unprofessional. Now I have 1 cut into dress (that I could have worn without alterations) and 2 dresses not ready. I would strongly discourage visiting this vendor unless you like unreliability and unprofessionalism. read more

I am a retired medical device sales rep. I have trusted this tailor with alterations on very expensive men's suits - sport coats - jackets - jeans. Amount of sales far exceeding $2000.00 in total. I can never buy "off the rack". The quality of the work is excellent. The owner is a sweat heart. The shop is ok - but cramped and not very private. The reason for the low rating is dependability in terms of completion of work on time. If you need your clothes back at a specific date go somewhere else. If I receive a pick up date I always give the shop an extra week before pick up. Even at that the job is rarely completed when I arrive to pick up. The owner usually does not commit a pick date for me shorter than 14 days out. What is frustrating is I hear her commit to pick up dates of 4-5 dates for others arranging for altering. Really!! I have to be one of the better customers at this shop. On one occasion my wife went to pick up a job and the owner asked her to go to Hobby Lobby to pick up materials so that the shop could start on a job that was already 2 weeks past pick up date! What is really frustrating is the owner never once apologizes for the inconvenience. I live 30 minutes from the shop so each time I make the trek it is an hour out of my day. I think the owner takes on way more business than she can handle and fails to realize that customers expect jobs to be completed on time. read more

Wonderful place for wedding dress alterations! I came here to have my wedding dress altered back in December (2017), and I'm so glad I did. She did an amazing job bringing in a lace bolero that I paired with a strapless chiffon dress. It didn't have seams to start with, and even though it did once she was done (it was unavoidable), it still looked like a seamless piece of lace! The altered hemline was so well done, it looked as if it came that way. Overall timeframe was good. I dropped the dress off the same day I called, and it was ready within a few weeks. Also, the cost was less than we were expecting, so that was a definite bonus. I got so many compliments on my dress and can only think I have Busy Bee Tailor to thank for helping my dress turn out so well. Highly recommend! read more
