I talked with owner about selling my never used Taurus G2C pistol with laser/spot/strobe and holster brand new in the box. First his customer/friend reminded me that the G2C was out of production and had several models "newer and better" like g 3, gx2 etc.. I was offered an insulting $100.00. I went on line and found the G2C is on of Taurus most dependable small frame 9 on the market and still commands $300 to $350 new even though 2024 was last production run. Also the GX2 was larger not as easy to handle for smaller hands and sold new $75 to $100 less than my pistol. After that experience with Butch's Guns Woodward I will likely purchase my next pistol somewhere else. They do have an excellent selection of firearms though and a nice store. PS. Walked in with a pocket full of cash intention of buying something ignored by both employees after making eye contact and walking the entire store never was greeted or even offered service will go down the road and take my business elsewhere. from what I seen walking around the store has great options for reloading cleaning and ammunition had a great selection of guns. Just nobody sell them to you. read more

Great people who are always willing to help. I have purchased 3 firearms from Butch's and the guys were helpful on each purchase. My wife took her concealed carry class from Calvin at Butch's and she enjoyed the class very much. I have also taken a rifle in for repair that was not purchased there. Well I am not going say top of line. I would classify as a bottom feeder at best. Little or no integrity. I took a Remington model Seven in to have a Bartlein barrel put of. Butch quoted a price of 647.00, more than others but local and I realize sometimes have pay a little more when they are only shop in town. Well in a week Butch called and told me trigger all rusted up and needed replacing as it was too light and may go off. I shoot long range and it was adjusted that way. A simple half turn of tension screw will fix problem. A few days later he called and said it was ready and again I asked how much, Butch quoted 647.00. I went to pick it you and now 743.00 I asked why he said the gunsmith spent 4 hours cleaning rust. Nothing was ever said about it. I told him if that rusty why did not you call. I would pick it up before you rebarreled. Folks there is and was never any rust. I have pictures. Anyway I guess two ways do business. Over charge or charge for services not performed so you get ma profit or charge reasonable and get repeat business. Pretty outrageous.
