For those who need and want to support this Artisan trade though Carl's is a wonderful little shop. It has that pungent leather aroma that elicits childhood memories and of course a rough handed, bent backed gentleman with a twinkle in his eye to greet you. Tucked away in Mosman Arcade, I was sent here by the hardware store in the hope of eliminating a stain from our foolishly light leather sofa. They lady who was working with the cobbler that day was wonderful. She recommended a product that worked a treat and what I liked best of all, although she could have upsold me a leather paint too, she advised against its immediate purchase 'Just see if the other thing works first'. Good old fashioned honesty.

It was done same-day, and I chose to have it delivered to the hotel for a nominal fee instead of walking back to fetch it. When the clean laundry didn't get delivered to my door by 5 as expected, I went down to the front desk to inquire and they said it hadn't been delivered, so I called Wash on the Rocks. They answered, called the driver, confirmed it had indeed been delivered (at 4:30!), then had the hotel bellman call me to confirm as well. I ran down to get that laundry so fast! I just really appreciated both the convenience and the immediate problem solving; it was the hotel's error, not theirs, but they really worked to get me those clean clothes. Highly recommend.

A great establishment to come to when your washing machine breaks down (sadly that has happened on a few occasions while I lived in Sydney) and their washing service is just fantastic. No need to bother with the self service coin laundry; use their full service whereby off hand a bag of washing costs around $25 which represents really good value, and my clothes just feel so smooth without that processed kind of feeling. Hard working staff that provide excellent customer service to wash and most importantly protect your clothes. And the turnaround times are quite great as well. The most you would have to wait is two days for your clothes despite the number of loads they end up washing on a daily basis.
