I'm beyond excited to have found their Huntington location--I've loved their signature tres leches cake from the Floral Park location. Atmosphere: The second I stepped in, everything felt clean, bright, and neatly organized, with plenty of natural sunlight. Sweet varieties: From birthday cakes to pastries and cookies, there are so many options you won't know where to start. Breakfast & brunch: They offer a great selection of breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and a comfortable seating area on the other side of the shop. Service: I really appreciated the staff who helped me the other day. I wanted everything to fit in one box so the pastries wouldn't tip over during the car ride. I initially picked 20 pieces, but only 15 could fit. She was incredibly kind and patient, and she packed everything so carefully that it all arrived home in perfect condition. Overall: Their pastries were a hit at my friend's housewarming party--both beautiful and delicious. The kids especially loved the fruit cake. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend Buttercooky to anyone!

Years later and i decided to try this place again because it is now a cafe and i wanted to sit and have something with a friend. He wanted a cannoli and a cappuccino and so off we went. I got a chai latte and black & white cookie. I wanted to change my mind from the last review because the amount of people who were coming and going looked promising. Nope. My chai was hella sweet, it just tasted like sweet, no chai flavor, no tea, no spices. My black and white was similar. Tasted no vanilla and no chocolate. My friend liked his cappuccino but disliked the cannoli. I'm very sad about this, I'm going to keep looking for a place to sit and have coffee/tea.

The Buttercooky Bakery in Huntington is my favorite location! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the service is quick, and everything is consistently fresh and delicious. Whether you're stopping in for pastries, cookies, or a sweet treat, you really can't go wrong. The bakery has a warm, inviting atmosphere that keeps me coming back again and again!

Found this very good bakery walking around Huntington. Great selections and the Colombo coffee is wonderful. We'll be back. H

The yummiest bakery! You've been warned, you will want everything in here!! The hot chocolate is the BEST!!!!!! There is a sitting area, you can order and they will bring it to your seat. So many cookies and cakes to choose from! Cute place too !

I was here to get a cake for a coworker and William was a very nice and helpful young man. He was a delight to work with. He actually suggested things to help me pick the right cake out. The store was very clean and everyone was smiling so early in the morning. William put the name of the person on the cake for me and it was perfect. I actually came back a few hours later to get a second cake and I ask specifically for William since he was so helpful the first time. He helped again and was fantastic. His service was excellent!!! I recommend this awesome bakery to everyone. We need more bakery's like this. And more people like William working to help people achieve what there needs are. Thank you Buttercooky Bakery.

I will fully admit, I walked in here wanting to hate because of its trendy hot chocolate. But overall it was actually quite good! Inside is very spacious and filled with treats and cakes galore; from traditional to trendy. I, of course, got the seasonal hot chocolate and for the price, it was chock full. The cup was probably 3/4 filled with hot chocolate. The rest of the space filled with whipped cream and sprinkles. The top, lovingly held a gingerbread man. The hot chocolate itself, not too thick, not too rich. But steps above and above Swiss Miss. considering its viral-ness, I was completely surprised how good the chocolate was. They could've cheaped out and didn't, and I respect that. With that being said, I was disappointed with the gingerbread cookie. For a bakery, I expected more. But it was rock hard with not much flavor. But I guess as a garnish it did look cute!

Everything is better with you ! I had buttercooky make my gender reveal cake and have spent some time with some friends enjoying delicious treats and laughing and talking About life, love and the pursuit of happiness aka raspberry croissants! First, yes, they have their own parking lot in Huntington...score!!!! This is one of the reasons why I can go to Huntington on a yucky day and not worry if I'm dressed warm enough! Another plus, you can order ahead online or on the phone! Next, the baked goods are delicious! I have been coming here since November and I am loving it! I've tried the viral CRookie (highly recommend), the croissants, cupcakes, and even their cute holiday cakes! Their decorating team is skillful! During the Holiday season, I tried a strawberry shortcake snowman and omg toooo cute and delicious! I can't wait to try more of their pastry items and more savory lunch items. Btw, their drinks are delicious as well! I had a thanksgiving pumpkin spice latte with a donut on top and their gingerbread Hot chocolate...so instaworthy and equally delicious!

We used to go to another local baker to order cakes in the past but had to find a new one since the quality of the other place we used wasn't the same as it used to be. My daughter was being baptized in the summer and we needed a cake. I've always heard of praise of Buttercooky Bakery from friends that had gone the original location, so we thought to give the Huntington location a try. The staff did provide us a catalog of images of other cakes they had made. We loved the one with the cross with flower on it and wanted something similar. The cake came out amazing. We got a cannoli filling with yellow cake which was moist and delicious. My friend who was the godmother paid for the cake which was moderate pricing considered the size amount of detail that went into it. We have revisited in the time after the cake to grab pastries, other sweets and coffee. Service was always good when we were in the bakery. We would definitely use them again in the future.

My husband and I stopped in after an ortho appointment across the street and were pleasantly surprised! The location is bright, clean, and has a seating area where you can enjoy your food and drinks! There are so many delicious things to choose from, but my husband decided on a large hot coffee and the cinnamon danish, and I got the almond croissant and a large cappuccino. Got our items to stay and sat at a table, and they brought out our coffees when they were ready. Everything was delicious and I would definitely come back if I'm in the area!

I literally bought one mini baguette, took a bite outside the store and walked right back in for 4 more. It is THAT good. The texture and flavor was simply perfect, and having to warmed with a schemer cutter was heavenly. Now it's important to note that I live at least 30 minutes away, and returned 3x since my first visit to try their breads. TBH, it doesn't even matter what you get! They are ALL the BEST versions of whatever bread it is! I literally walked out today with 6 loaves of bread and as a carb-a-holic, I am here to confirm that Duck Island has THE BEST bread in NY. PS I am literally gnawing on a piece of sesame something (looks like a branch of leaves - so pretty) as I'm typing this. Just amazing!

Not only did these set me back $9 total, but were annoying to eat and not worth the cost at all. The minimal chocolate filling had sunken to the bottom and completely fused to the wrappers, and the muffins were very dry inside, not soft and fudgey like chocolate babka should be. Everything they have looks and sounds incredible, but the two muffins I got were very overpriced and not nearly good enough to be worth it. Additionally, the parking situation is a nightmare, with people parking in spots that don't exist in a lot that's already way too tight.

Pricing is reasonable, shop has an upstate or even Vermont feeling. Staff is kind and patient. Polite. Lemme talk about the food for a second. Got the Feeling Tot burrito. Subbed cheddar for smoke Gouda and added bacon. HOLY HELL. This burrito brought up emotions I haven't felt for a breakfast in centuries. Warm and melty, it wasn't like any of these greasy, wet, fat covered offerings from other delis or breakfast shops around the island. Or that I've had in NY in general. They chopped the bacon, which let's be serious here, is the only way to do it. Eggs were fluffy, light. Cheese was nothing short of smoked magnificence. But the pièce de résistance, the glue that brings your taste buds to their knees, the tots. If you don't like tots, you're wrong. And these tots were somehow crispy and soft. No oil, no sog. The chipotle sauce brings it all home and then they grill the whole damn thing and serve it to you on a platter of gold and diamonds. At least that's how it felt. Do I recommend this? Uh duhhhhhh. 5 stars. All day.
