One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Served with a choice of either fries or chunky wedges (think roast potato wedges and you'll get the idea). The cafe makes its own hot sauces and strawberry jams, all of which you should try if you get a chance as they're all scrumptious. You can even buy jars of the sauces to take home. Service is warm & friendly and you're made to feel incredibly welcome the second you walk in the door to the moment you leave. If you're on the lookout for something a bit more genuine and satisfying than what the nearby commercial chains can offer this is the place!

So I had to come back for their "Sunday Roast" (afternoon dinner feast). Three courses of delicious homemade food, everything scrumptious, only £16. Such a great value. OMG was the food good. The very traditional menu comprises all-day breakfasts, mixed grills, burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, omelettes, jacket potatoes and (of course) chips; and traditional puddings for dessert. There's quite an extensive vegetarian menu as well. It offers a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including proper mugs of tea. Sitting inside is very pleasant as are the staff, especially the manager, who I think i called Hugo but to me its big selling point is its outside area. It over looks the oval basin and faces the sun. I have spent many a summer day having a few cheeky ones chatting away whilst the sun goes into the bay. So if this isn't your bag - stay away (that way there is more room for the rest of us who do).
