He has gone to their summer camp in 2014 and loved it. Going again this year. He took the Fastrackids 2-year program and loved it. He then went on to the science program which is great because they do a lot of interesting and hands-on activities and experiments. We always talk about what he did this week in Fastrack; it gets him so curious and excited. The teachers are nice and friendly. During a Zoom class, an instructor started making hateful, xenophobic remarks about nationalities and politics, completely ignoring the fact that Russian students were present. People started dropping out of the call one by one out of disgust, and I quietly closed the window and never came back. Months later, they even had the audacity to call me to ask why I stopped attending. When I told them directly about their teacher's unacceptable behavior and total lack of professional ethics, it was clear they cared little about it, since they still keep such a toxic person on staff. A school should be a safe space for learning, not a platform for bigotry. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this place.

On this journey, we lost many deposits after just one week and it seemed no center could acclimate to the gentle and personalized care my son needed to grow. Bright beginnings has been an absolute godsend in this process. The teachers are caring and attentive. This is the first center I have seen hands-on involvement from the director! They use positive reinforcement to direct the children. All meals are home-cooked. The entire experience has been one filled with joy, community, and happiness. I am so happy to have found them. My son's speech was delayed when he first joined and now he speaks more than ever. He comes home each day and shares new facts on a diverse set of topics and it even shocks me how much information he retains from the day. My other in-laws in Long Island are madly envious (lack of better term) that this day care would out-compete the rest of where their kids have been or currently are in. Maybe she threatened to take their vacation time without prior notice, AGAIN!!! It's also very curious how they have an employee who's only been there for about a month, post a review saying how wonderful the job is. Question for you if you happen to read this, weren't you the one who was in charge of receiving diapers for a child who had ran out, did not give the diapers to appropriate teacher and caused the child to go without being changed? I would call that being right out incompetent but that is just my opinion. But since Jennifer Jean-Baptiste likes to play favorites and only targets certain employees, nothing was done or said against this employee for their incompetence. Lastly, it is very curious how these "reviews" sound so similar in their description of this horrible place. Almost as if it were scripted or all written at the same time. I looked…read moreinto their public NYC Health inspection history, and there have been past violations involving an unsafe heating apparatus classified as a public health hazard, lack of a First Aid/CPR-trained staff member on site at the time of inspection, missing allergy-response training, fire-drill documentation issues, supervision concerns, staff medical-clearance issues, fingerprint-screening problems, and food-storage concerns, but as a parent we need to make sure our kids are safe before we trust any day care that has bad record especially when it comes to inspection.
