I jumped right into the food and forgot to share there is parking in a lot on the premises. Very convenient. The staff kept our beverages filled and checked in on us several times. Their friendly nature was the cherry on the top of the positive experience. I will share that it isn't a tiny space but not large, either. We did have some spill over of noise from other tables and the dishes being stacked at the counter that made it hard to hear the conversation at my table. This was a nice surprise on Father's Day morning. My wife found this place last week and we gave it a try. Great vibes and great food. Service was fantastic and the namesake buttermilk biscuits were great. A little on the denser side of the scale but that's because they use them as the base for some fantastic biscuit sandwiches. The gravy they make isn't your normal southern white gravy but more like a Cajun style heavily seasoned gravy. Speaking of, if you're a Cajun fan this place is your jam. So based on her recommendations we ordered the chicken biscuit with the fried egg and a side of potatoes, chicken and waffles and the colossal fried chicken and shrimp basket. Everyone was super friendly but this place isn't that big so be prepared to wait or grab an outside table. We ordered the catfish nuggets (not pictured). Stopped by for breakfast with my friends and we had a great experience! Our server Bubbles was super friendly and very attentive. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza. This was our first stop after landing at the ATL airport and couldn't have been a better choice! It's about 10 minutes away from the airport and was the perfect breakfast stop/ coffee reload. We had a large group and had to wait for a table, but the servers let me and a few of my friends grab a cup of coffee while we were waiting anyways which was super kind. Everything we had was good. I tried the fried catfish and eggs, because how often do you see that on a breakfast menu? My only wish is that there had been more catfish. I made same day reservations at Buttermilk to line up with picking up my friend from the airport. About two hours later, we arrived for our reservation and were told by someone cleaning the outdoor tables that the restaurant was no longer taking customers. I explained that we had confirmed reservations, but he said he was just relaying what his manager told him, they were closing early and would not be seating anyone else. He didn't have an explanation for why the restaurant was closing early, nor did he seem surprised by it. Our reservation was for noon, and I never received an email or any kind of notification that it had been canceled. Before leaving, I also saw other guests being turned away when I was in the parking lot. This experience was frustrating, especially since the whole point of making a reservation is to secure a guaranteed table. Clear communication would have gone a long way here. read more

There's a ton of variety with the breakfast and brunch offerings. We started with the biscuit trio appetizer and wow! The flavors! My favorite out of the lemon blueberry, honey buttermilk and garlic cheddar trio was the garlic cheddar. So fragrant, herby and flavorful! I selected the garden harvest omelet with grits and multigrain toast for a main entree and my friend selected the buttermilk pancakes. The grits were perfect and creamy and they provided homemade fruit jam for the toast; I selected the peach. For beverages, in addition to coffee, hot tea, sweet tea and soft drinks, they also had fresh pressed juices. We ordered the carrot ginger and pineapple kale which were so tasty and refreshing. Our server Nari was AMAZING too; very courteous and efficient. We felt welcome right when we walked through the door. I ordered the deviled eggs to share. They are so good, I wish I didn't have to! I really wanted to like this place. My wife and I had just returned from a trip to Miami, and honestly, we didn't have a great food experience once we got back to Atlanta. We were hoping for a solid meal to reset our palates, so we decided to try Buttermilk Biscuit, especially since it came highly recommended by my father and others. Right away, the menu was a bit misleading. There's a value menu with a note at the bottom about items being "$3 a side," but that only applies to certain sides. We ordered the biscuit bites as an appetizer, and unfortunately, they were overcooked. I took about half a bite, and my wife took one full bite before we sent them back. They were just too overcooked to enjoy. I ordered the pancake taco, and that was another letdown. You really can't serve something called a "taco" if it doesn't hold together at all. It fell apart immediately, forcing me to eat it with a fork. On top of that, the cheese wasn't even melted, which made the dish feel rushed or unfinished. My wife ordered the avocado toast with sunny-side-up eggs. The toast itself wasn't properly toasted, and while the eggs were technically fine, by that point we were already frustrated and just wanted to eat and leave. The service didn't help the situation. Our water was never refilled, and the server showed no empathy when we explained the issues with our food. To make matters worse, I don't eat pork and asked to substitute turkey bacon. We were told the uncharge would be $10, which made no sense considering turkey bacon is listed as an $7 side on the menu. When the biscuit bites were removed, they only took $2 off the bill, charging us the full $8 of the item even though we barely ate them. No manager came out to speak with us or acknowledge the situation. Everything was handled through the server, who was not apologetic nor friendly. I make a conscious effort to support Black owned businesses in my community, but support has to be mutual. Good food alone isn't enough. Customer service, empathy, fair pricing, and accountability matter just as much. Unfortunately, none of that was present during our visit. When the bill came, she was still charged for the water--even though her food never arrived. We had to ask for a manager to get the charge removed. Overall, this was a waste of time and money. Food was packaged with care, and sauces and butter were put in individual containers. The presentation was 5 stars. I had the omelet with a biscuit for breakfast. The order was supposed to come with potatoes, but they forgot them. It was not in the order. One way to prevent this is to show the customer each container before it's placed in the bag. It's not a fun experience getting home and realizing something is missing. Everything tasted fresh, although I did add some spicy salsa on top of the omelet for a little more flavor.
