Stuffed Almond Crusted, Nutella, and Banana French Toast
    James H.

The food was good and the service was great. I got a sourdough triple decker club sandwich with sweet potato fries. My waitress made me a cherry and peach flavored sweet tea (extra sweet, like I like it). My wife had a delicious stuffed almond crusted, Nutella, and banana French toast.

Good place, went there right before Covid shutdown and need to go back. Small town feel, for sure. Breakfast is good there, homestyle options- I got the migas and my husband got the biscuits and gravy.

Great portions for dinner & lunch menu. The prices for beverages were a little higher than most places. I ordered the mini portion pot roast. The only difference between the full and mini is half the size of the protein and one less side. You still get a side salad and two dinner rolls. The rolls come with home made whipped butter. The pot roast came with 2 carrots & 1 red potatoes cut in half. I wasn't a fan of the mash potatoes...didn't have great flavor to me. The pot roast portion for the mini was a lot of meat! I couldn't finish it all. My fiancé got the chicken fried steak with two eggs. It comes with a side and a bread. He got the honestly potato's...it's the cubed potatoes and pancakes

Great chicken fried steak. All the sides were great. Rolls were fresh from the oven. Cheesecake was good. And they have started serving supper on Thur/Fri/Sat night. Highly recommend.

Great local/homestyle breakfast joint! The service was fast and the place had an old school feel. The food was delicious but the waffle was a little overcooked.

Three cheese omelette, club sandwich and Texas waffle.

Great food and wonderful people! The service was above average. I will most definitely be back.

Great service, good food, nice place. BUT, it's old and outdated, parking lot pot holes, seating squishy and torn it's just old.

If you're debating where to go for breakfast, skip the chain restaurants and give The Brunch District a try. It's one of those places that actually lives up to the reviews.

The eggs were perfectly cooked with a deliciously runny yoke. A generous portion of smoked salmon graced both toasted English muffins. My friend had the shrimp and grits, which she ordered additional shrimp. They followed through with a healthy portion of shrimp that were cooked well and seasoned wonderfully. My nephew had breakfast that included cloud like scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and thick fluffy pancakes. He didn't give me an opinion on the breakfast but did indeed join the clean plate club. The service was very good. The restaurant itself was clean and well styled as always. **Note the picture associated with this review is from a previous review.

I initially gave this place 5 stars, but after returning recently for the first time in a long while, the experience was extremely disappointing. We came in, got seated, and a guy named Omar handed us the menus. I asked if we could get two hot waters with lemon, and in a very dismissive tone he replied, "Anna will get that," then just walked away. We then saw Anna walk past our empty table three or four times before finally coming over with two glasses of cold water, which we never asked for. I told her we would've requested hot water with lemon, but she barely even acknowledged us. She took the cold water away, turned around, and later came back simply setting the hot water down without a word. When we were looking at the menu, my husband asked what the side options were. She replied in an annoyed tone, "It's right there," while pointing at the menu. My husband then asked if she could just tell us, which she eventually did. From start to finish, there was no smile, no pleasantries, no sense that she even wanted to serve us. Mind you, this was 9 AM on a Monday, and there were only three occupied tables in the restaurant, including ours. When the food arrived, one of the plates had dirt, a dead bug, or something similar on it. We pointed it out, and instead of apologizing, she took the plate away, came back, denied it was a bug, and still seemed visibly irritated. Later, I asked for extra napkins. She returned and aggressively dropped them on the edge of the table without even looking at us before walking away. Throughout the entire meal, she passed by our table several more times and never once checked on us. We left feeling dismayed, disappointed, and honestly feeling like the service did not deserve a tip--so we didn't. This used to be one of our go-to spots after church on Sundays, but unfortunately, that will no longer be the case. Suffice it to say, we will not be returning.

I just did not get the vibe that it was going to be great. We had spent all morning looking for a brunch place that wasn't a two hour wait and this place although it had a wait was not two hours we may be waited for about 20 minutes. The service was extremely kind and hopeful, but I will say that they cook your food to order so you will have to wait and I think it's worth it. The bacon was superb. I actually ordered some to-go because it was delicious! I had the apple pecan French toast and my God!!!! It blew me out the water!!! My husband had pancakes and bacon, and I actually stole his bacon because it was so good. They serve my favorite coffee, which is Segafredo and it was just a pleasant surprise to eat here! We will absolutely be back!

Young, high-energy staff and everybody was friendly. I had an adorable little waitress who was possibly high as a kite. But flower high, not the bad stuff. Honestly, it worked in everybody's favor. She was upbeat, extremely polite, and got my order right. I'm happy. The menu is one of those long double-sided laminated things with probably 50+ breakfast choices. Everybody should be able to find something. Prices looked to range around $10-17 per entrée, and the portions were solid. They also had a bunch of turkey and chicken sausage options for non-pork eaters like myself. I ordered the chicken fried steak with hash browns, scrambled cheese eggs with onions mixed into the eggs and hash browns, plus two pancakes. Around $15. Pardon the food pics. I forgot to take them until I had already loaded everything up with every sauce known to man: ketchup, hot sauce, gravy, syrup... probably a few others. I definitely recommend this place. A gem.
