I've been going to Dr. Ben for 4 months know. Initially started going because I was having some knee pain due to an injury from 6 years ago. Not only was my first visit extremely beneficial for pain, he was very thorough in understanding what happened before and explaining to me what was going on inside my knee. Since the first visit, I've been going *back* for regular/general adjustments, and each time I learn more about my body and how it works. Dr. Ben is incredibly smart and really cares about my overall well-being. He also sees my fiancé, who has quite a bit of muscle/bone issues from a lifetime of being way too tall and accident-prone. When I first saw him I was a little apprehensive BC the last Chiro I went to wanted to treat me 3x a week for months and I was fine after about 5 visits. Dr. Butwin is not like that at all. He is not overbearing or pushy and is more concerned with your overall health than fitting you into his plan. I went in with some numbness, expecting him to do an adjustment and hoping to see if that worked or not. Since going to Dr. Butwin since early 2019, I have found much needed relief from neck and hip pain and headaches.

Let me start off by saying that i NEVER write reviews (i know that's terrible!) unlike my husband who is the king of Yelp (or should i say Duke?) And yet Yelp is the first place I go when searching for a new local place to eat or get my nails done. So the fact that I am sitting down to write this with a newly mobile nap hating baby says something in itself. (heres to the first of many reviews) I love Dr Ben from his great chiropractic care to his patience with all of his patients big and small (my baby loves him too.) I have seen him through injuries, pregnancy and postpartum, and for mobility work with exercising. He never pushes you to come see him and would honestly rather you stay healthy and pain free. Here are just a few of the reasons I love Dr Ben. 1. SI /Lower Back Injury: I had seen several chiropractors before Dr Ben for a serious lower back injury that caused me to have pain while sitting and moving for the past 6 months! I honestly wasn't sure I would ever be back to normal again. A friend recommended Dr B to me and I was desperate and figured trying another chiro wouldn't hurt. I have never since looked back. He had me moving and finally sitting without pain within a few weeks. I am not saying that all injuries will have this turnaround but I am saying that he knows what he is doing and how to lightly adjust you and give you rehab exercises to do at home so that you will not have to see him as often. I am so thankful to him for helping me to function again. 2. ART (active release therapy): If you have never had this treatment done before think of it as a deep tissue massage with mobility work. I had previously seen another chiropractor for this treatment and he would have me near tears every single time but I kept at it thinking that it must be doing something and yet I never really saw any improvement after seeing him 3 times a week for several weeks. I have since seen Dr Ben for lower back, foot, calf muscle, and shoulder ART and have never once been tempted to cry. As a crossfitter this has been great for overhead work on my shoulder. After just a couple treatments, or sometimes even 1, I feel more mobile and experience less pain. 3. Pregnancy/Postpartum : I saw Dr Ben consistently throughout my pregnancy and had such an easy pain free pregnancy (minus the nausea, even Dr B cant cure that) and that is not an exaggeration. I was able to workout through 39 weeks and honestly felt better during pregnancy than I did coming back to workout postpartum. He was also gentle and knowledgable when i came back to see him 10 days post csection. 4. Babies and Kids: I brought my son to see him right after he was first born and would highly recommend it after any delivery but especially c section. Dr B was super gentle and patient and still is when this first time mom comes to him with concerns after her baby has taken a minor fall. Well that was a LOOONG review, maybe that is why I never write them? ;) All that to say if you are in need of a chiropractor or simply curious about what chiropractic care can do for you check out Dr Ben I know you wont be disappointed. read more

Dr. Ben is fantastic! He genuinely cares about his patients and is extremely responsive and helpful. After suffering an athletic injury, I could not stand or lay down without excruciating pain. I saw Dr. Ben the following day and followed his suggestions on icing, stretching and some supplements and within 4 weeks was back to "normal". I would recommend him to anyone but especially to athletes.
