Most importantly: the burger. It's perfectly cooked and juicy. You can tell the patties are handmade, and it makes a total difference. The burger includes lettuce, tomato, and caramelized onion. I had a burger with bacon my first time, and really loved it. But honestly, I loved even MORE just the plain burger. Everything tastes amazing together and the slightly toasted but still soft bun was to die for (I'm a huge bread fan, ok). The fries have an exciting concept. I love the fact that you can choose toppings for your fries for free, to heighten the experience. I've tried both the shoestring and the regular fries, and both were perfectly done. They aren't cheap with the toppings, so you don't have to ration them out. The dipping sauces are super tasty as well. I haven't tried them all, but I really love the spicy smoked tomato mayo. My friend actually loved the fries so much she went back 7 hours later before she went back home after visiting me. I'll definitely be a regular at this place!

Overall, I'd say that the food here is excellent. I ate there twice. The first time I had the basic cheeseburger and onion rings because the cheeseburger was the cheapest thing on the menu and I wanted to minimize my out-of-pocket cost. Very decent burger, coming from an American with well-developed burger pallet. The patty was a bit flat for my liking but overall it was stacked with flavor. The highlight of the meal for me though was the onion rings. So. Damn. Good. Beer battered just right. So good in fact, I came back later that week for more. The second time I ordered a Gold Burger, which they tell me won a national burger competition in Sweden. This was also good, but the flavors were not anything I'd crave. Again, good and interesting, but I could take it or leave it. Great onion rings again. I ordered at the bar and had the food come out to me. I didn't eat at the restaurant proper, although I don't think there was much of a difference. I think Phil's is a worthy spot to go for a quick bite alone or with a few pals. There's ample dining space. The only thing I'd say though is this place is probably more expensive than necessary. I do not think I'd be happy with paying for dinner here without my SEK 100 discount voucher. For Americans, that's about a $10 discount. The meat doesn't feel frozen, and the fries are nice and crispy. You get sooo much food here too. I've been here twice and definitely forgot that I didn't need to order fries my second time. The burger toppings aren't super creative. The most "out there" combo you get is a bacon swiss cheeseburger. That means that if you're looking for something like a cheddar mushroom avocado beet burger, you're in the wrong place. Definitely worth a visit!

This is an awesome hotel in Solna. Well worth my one week stay…read more The hotel is basically brand new (opened in January 2016) with a modern touch, unique from all the other major hotel chains we all know. The theme of the hotel is all to do with winery and has a great collection of wine. They have their own branded wine that they make in-house. The hotel also has a beautiful lobby and bar area on the first floor. The rooms are beautifully laid, comfortable, and quiet, however, they are a little small. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have one of the good breakfast meals and are located in close proximity to the Mall of Scandinavia. You can also access the bus close by, but to get to the train, you'll have to get a taxi. You can also rent the bicycles they have to get around. The Winery Kitchen Restaurant on the first floor has a nice menu for dinner and you need to check it out when you stay here. They also have a pizza restaurant across from the check-in desk which really has awesome food and drinks. Of course, don't forget to sign up for the winery tour! They have a winery just behind the front desk and you can see the oak barrels used to store wine. You can always request to have the tour conducted in English. Overall, wife and I enjoyed our week's stay here.
